Bike Transport Gurgaon to Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula
Sending a bike or scooter about 280–300 km from Gurgaon (Gurugram) to the Tricity looks simple on a map. In practice, cost and timing are decided less by the highway and more by three questions. Where exactly is the bike going: a Chandigarh sector, a Mohali phase, a Panchkula sector, or a society in Zirakpur or Kharar? When will the consignment actually leave Gurgaon? And is the person at the other end ready to take it?
BikeShift Gurgaon arranges collection, packing, road transport and delivery on assessed bookings. This page explains how we price and plan this route, so you can compare any quote, including ours, line by line.

Gurgaon to Chandigarh bike transport at a glance
- Distance for planning: about 280–300 km city to city, with NH44 as the main corridor. Your exact Gurgaon pickup point, Tricity endpoint and the carrier's permitted routing change the real figure.
- Charges: assessed planning bands run from ₹2,400–₹2,900 for a scooter or small 100–125cc bike up to ₹6,500–₹8,800 for a large or premium motorcycle. Your accepted quote is the price, not this page.
- Timing: plan on about 1–2 working days after confirmed dispatch. Same-day delivery is possible only on a direct arrangement confirmed in advance, with the receiver ready.
- Settle these three things first: the exact endpoint (city, sector or phase, house or tower, pin code), the day the bike will be dispatched rather than just collected, and who receives it and when they are free.
A car can cover this distance in roughly five hours of driving. That figure tells you about the road, not about a consignment. A bike has to be collected, packed, documented, loaded onto the right vehicle, carried, transferred locally and handed over at a time that suits someone at the destination. The rest of this page is about planning those steps.
Gurgaon to Chandigarh bike transport charges by model
These are assessed planning bands, not fixed all-inclusive tariffs. Engine size is only a starting point. The exact model, its dimensions and weight, fitted accessories, running condition and how it has to be handled matter more. The examples below are matched to each category; if your bike is not listed, share the make, model and variant and we will place it.
| Category | Example models | Planning band | What usually decides the assessment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scooter or small bike, roughly 100–125cc class | Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access 125, TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Shine 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 | ₹2,400–₹2,900 | Floorboard and panel protection, mirrors, under-seat contents, and whether the scooter is collected from a gate or a basement |

| Large or premium motorcycle | Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and Super Meteor 650, Kawasaki Z650 and Z900, Triumph Speed Twin 900 | ₹6,500–₹8,800 | Weight, width, value, accessories, and whether the owner wants an assessed direct vehicle rather than shared space. Very large touring machines are assessed individually. |
What a Gurgaon to Chandigarh quote should spell out
Two quotes with the same headline figure can cover very different work. Before you accept one, check that each component below is clearly marked as included or additional.
| Component | How it should appear | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Collection in Gurgaon | Included or additional, for your stated pickup point | Gate, basement, office parking or street, and who brings the bike to the loading point |
| Packing | Included or additional, described for your model | Which parts get protection, not just a layer count |
| Loading at origin | Included or additional | Extra hands for heavy, tall or non-running bikes |
| Main carriage to the Tricity | Included, with shared space or a direct vehicle named | Who carries the bike on this leg, if it is not the same party that collects it |
| Final-door delivery | Included or additional, for your exact endpoint | Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur or Kharar address, and the agreed stopping point |
| Waiting and special work | Stated as additional where it applies | Waiting at either end, lifting, wheel or steering-lock problems, extra floors or ramps |
| Holding or redelivery | Only if agreed before dispatch, with any charge stated | Where the bike would be kept and for how long |
| Applicable tax | Shown as included or extra on the quote and invoice | Which entity issues the invoice |
| Transit cover | A separate line if you choose it | Policy document, declared value, stages covered and exclusions |
What moves a price within or beyond the band
- The real model, not the CC alone. A tall adventure bike with boxes takes more space and handling than a naked bike of the same displacement.
- Running condition. A bike that does not start, has a flat tyre or a jammed steering lock needs more people and time.
- The pickup and delivery points. A ground-floor house on an open lane is a different job from a third-level basement or a society that keeps goods vehicles at the gate.
- The type of booking. Shared space on a consolidated carrier is priced differently from a direct vehicle sent for one bike.
- The endpoint. Outlying addresses beyond the core Tricity are assessed on their own final approach.
- Optional choices. Cover, agreed waiting, holding or redelivery add their own lines.
Gurgaon to Mohali, Panchkula or Chandigarh? Write the exact endpoint
"Chandigarh" on a booking form often means somewhere in the Tricity, and that is not enough to plan a delivery. Chandigarh is a Union Territory. Mohali, officially SAS Nagar, is in Punjab. Panchkula is in Haryana. Zirakpur and Kharar are separate towns again, and need their own exact address. Each place has its own address pattern and its own final approach from where the main carrier arrives. That is why we assess the endpoint instead of promising one Tricity rate.
Sector and phase labels are not interchangeable. Chandigarh sectors are numbered and often split into lettered parts, such as Sector 35-B. Mohali addresses use phase names, such as Phase 3B2, as well as sector numbers in its newer areas. Panchkula has its own sector numbers, and Mansa Devi Complex has separate addresses. The same number can exist in two cities: Sector 20, Chandigarh and Sector 20, Panchkula are different places. If the address says only "Sector 20", the delivery cannot be planned.
| Detail | Why it matters | How to write it |
|---|---|---|
| City or town | Fixes the jurisdiction and the final approach | Chandigarh, Mohali (SAS Nagar), Panchkula, Zirakpur or Kharar, written in full |
| Sector, part or phase | The same number can exist in two cities | Sector number with its lettered part, or the Mohali phase exactly as it appears on your rent agreement or a utility bill |
| House, plot, tower or flat | Tells the local team where to stop and whom to ask | House or plot number, or tower and flat number |
| Society or building, and gate | Large societies and campuses have more than one entry, and not every gate admits vehicles | Society name and the specific gate the security team will use |
| Pin code | Confirms which city the address really falls in | The six-digit pin code of the delivery address |
| Receiver | Someone has to check, sign and take the keys | Name, mobile number, relationship to the owner and the times they are available |
| Landmark | Helps on the day, but is not a substitute for the fields above | A nearby market, school or main road |
A house in a Chandigarh sector
Sector houses usually have lane access, so the question is where the delivery vehicle stops and who wheels the bike in. The final leg is normally done by a smaller local vehicle rather than whatever carried the bike up the highway. Confirm the house number with its sector part, a gate or porch where the bike can be unpacked and checked, and whether the receiver is home or will send someone. If the bike is for a rented portion, tell the landlord, because the inspection happens at the door.
A PG, hostel or commercial receiving point
Students and young professionals often move into a PG or hostel before they are fully settled. These are the deliveries most likely to fail on the day. The owner may not allow parking, the room keys may not be ready, or an institution or office gate may not admit a delivery vehicle. Agree a meeting point outside if needed, and name the person who will sign and keep the keys.
If you are receiving at a workplace in Chandigarh or Mohali, check with building security first. They will usually want a name and a time.
A Mohali society
For a Mohali society, write the full phase or sector, society name, tower and flat, and the gate used for deliveries. Many societies need a resident to approve the entry through an app or at the guard desk. Some keep delivery vehicles outside, so the bike is unpacked at the gate and ridden or wheeled in by the receiver. Ask your society which applies before the delivery day, not when the van is waiting.
A Panchkula sector
Panchkula is in Haryana, not Chandigarh, even though it sits right next door. Write "Panchkula" with the sector number, or "Mansa Devi Complex" with its own address, and the pin code. This also matters after arrival: an HR-registered bike moving to Panchkula stays within Haryana, which changes the registration questions covered further down.
Zirakpur, Kharar and other outlying endpoints
Zirakpur and Kharar have grown into large residential areas of their own, with many high-rise societies. They are not the same delivery as central Chandigarh. Depending on the exact society, the final approach can be shorter or longer than to a Chandigarh sector, so we assess these endpoints individually.
The same applies further out, to Dera Bassi, Landran, Kharar–Landran Road societies, Pinjore or a campus outside the Tricity. Share the full address and we will tell you what final-door delivery there involves.
Gurgaon to Chandigarh route and delivery time: how dispatch works
An October 2026 driving-map check showed about 280 km via NH44, a 296 km alternative also labelled NH44, and about 287 km using NH344M with NH44. These are city-to-city road references, rather than a booked carrier itinerary. Confirm the permitted corridor, loading point, any transfer and the actual destination gate for your move; the passenger driving estimate does not include collection, packing or receiving arrangements.
On a long route, a few hours of waiting hardly matter. On a short route like this one, waiting is often the largest part of the job. Collection is not dispatch, and arrival is not handover. Each stage below has its own dependency, and a delay at any one of them moves the delivery.
| Stage | What happens | What it depends on |
|---|---|---|
| Assessment | Model, condition, both addresses and timing are confirmed and quoted | Complete details from you, including the exact Tricity endpoint |
| Collection | The local team reaches your Gurgaon pickup point | Gate or building entry, where the bike is parked, and the sender being present |
| Packing and condition record | Photos, odometer reading, existing marks, keys and accessories are recorded; the bike is packed for its model | Model complexity and a clear space to work |
| Wait for the carrier | The bike waits to be loaded, or is consolidated with other consignments for shared space | The carrier's departure for the Tricity, and the type of booking you chose |
| Main carriage | The bike travels about 280–300 km, mainly along NH44 | Departure time, permitted routing and the carrier's delivery sequence |
| Local transfer | The bike moves to the vehicle doing the final leg | The arrival time and the endpoint |
| Handover | The bike is unpacked, checked against the record, and keys and documents are returned | The receiver being available at the agreed address and time |
As a planning guide, expect about 1–2 working days after confirmed dispatch. When you get a quote, ask for two things separately: the expected dispatch day and the delivery window. A promise that covers only collection tells you little about when the bike will be in Chandigarh.
Same-day readiness checklist
Same-day movement is possible only on a direct arrangement that is explicitly confirmed. It is not a standing schedule. Before you ask for it, check that every item below is true:
- Authorised people at both ends. The sender in Gurgaon and the receiver in the Tricity are named, reachable and available on the same day.
- An exact loading point. The bike is at a known spot (gate, basement level and pillar number, or office parking) and building security knows it is leaving.
- A known model and condition. The model, variant, running condition and accessories have been shared in advance, so there are no surprises at pickup.
- Keys, odometer and photos ready. Keys and any duplicate are in hand, the owner has taken their own photos, and document copies are ready to share.
- A confirmed carrier departure. A direct vehicle is confirmed to leave straight for the Tricity once loading is done, not "when the load is complete".
- Delivery availability. The receiver can take the bike that evening at the exact address, and the society or building will allow entry at that hour.
If any item is uncertain, choose the normal timeline. It is better to plan for the next working day than to pay for a same-day arrangement the day cannot support.
If the receiver is not ready on delivery day
Short routes often collide with moving-in dates. The PG keys come a day late, a parent is travelling, or a new joiner is still in induction. Raise this before dispatch, not on delivery day. Ask whether the bike can be held and redelivered later, where it would be kept and for how long, and what that adds. Any agreed holding or redelivery charge belongs in the accepted quote. Do not assume a free warehouse at the destination. If nothing is agreed, the simplest fix is often to shift the collection date to match the receiver.
Shared space, a direct vehicle or the local van: what you are actually booking
"Dedicated pickup" usually means a vehicle comes to collect your bike. It does not necessarily mean that same vehicle drives it alone to Chandigarh. Ask which of these you are being quoted for.
| Booking type | What it means | When it suits | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared space on the main carrier | Your bike travels with other consignments on a carrier going to the Tricity | Most moves where a day either way is acceptable; usually the economical option | Expected dispatch day, how bikes are secured, and the local delivery window |
| Assessed direct or exclusive vehicle | A vehicle is arranged for your bike, or your group of bikes, on its own run | Same-day needs, high-value machines, or several bikes for one address | That it is exclusive end to end, the departure time, and a separate assessed price |
| Local collection or delivery van | A smaller vehicle handles the Gurgaon pickup or the Tricity final leg | Reaching houses, societies and offices that larger vehicles cannot enter | Where it stops, who wheels the bike, and whether it is part of your quote |
Worked planning example: a Royal Enfield from Golf Course Extension to Mohali
This is a hypothetical planning example to show how a quote is built. It is not an invoice, a tariff or a completed customer job, and real figures depend on your assessment. The scenario: a running Royal Enfield Classic 350 with standard fittings is collected from a society basement off Golf Course Extension Road. The owner wheels it up to the gate. It travels in shared space on the normal timeline to a tower in a Mohali society.
| Line | Basis in this example | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Collection at the society gate, Gurgaon | Local collection van; bike brought to the gate by the owner | ₹500 |
| Model-aware packing | Tank, exhaust, levers, mirrors and switchgear protected | ₹600 |
| Loading and main carriage | Shared space to the Tricity | ₹2,200 |
| Final-door delivery, Mohali society gate | Local vehicle to the named gate | ₹400 |
| Subtotal | Within the ₹3,400–₹4,300 cruiser band | ₹3,700 |
| Optional transit cover | Illustrative only; the real premium comes from the issued policy and declared value | ₹250 |
| Total before applicable tax | ₹3,700 + ₹250 | ₹3,950 |
| Agreed redelivery if the receiver is away | Illustrative; only if agreed before dispatch | ₹300 |
| Total with agreed redelivery, before applicable tax | ₹3,950 + ₹300 | ₹4,250 |
Applicable tax, if any, is shown on the actual quote and invoice. If the same owner wanted same-day delivery on a direct vehicle, that would be quoted separately; it is not a small add-on to this budget. If the destination were a society in Kharar instead of Mohali, the final-door line would be reassessed for that address.
Gurgaon pickup points: what the collection team needs to know
Gurgaon is not one kind of pickup. Tell us the type of place as well as the sector, because that decides how the bike reaches the vehicle. We do not assume that a van can enter every basement, or that every basement has the same height clearance.
Cyber City and Udyog Vihar: releasing a bike from office parking
Many people leaving Gurgaon jobs have their bike in an office or tech-park basement. Commercial buildings often need a gate pass or a facility-team approval before a vehicle can leave on behalf of an employee, and may only allow that in certain hours. Check this with your admin team a day ahead, and tell us the building name, parking level and the exit gate. If you cannot be present, name the colleague who will hand over and give them copies of the RC and your ID.
DLF phases, Golf Course Road, Golf Course Extension and Sohna Road societies
Large societies in these areas usually have visitor management at the gate. Some have deep basements with tight ramps and turns. Share the actual gate the security team will use, the basement level and pillar number, and whether a resident approval is needed. Often the simplest arrangement is for you to ride or wheel the bike up to the gate or a surface parking spot, where it can be photographed and packed in daylight.
Sector 14, Sector 15 and Palam Vihar: older streets and the stopping point
In older sectors and colonies, the bike is often parked on the street or in a narrow porch, and lanes can be tight or busy. The useful detail here is a clear stopping point: a corner, a wider stretch of road or a market edge where the vehicle can wait while the bike is packed. Tell us if there is a ramp or step between the bike and the road.
New Gurgaon, Dwarka Expressway sectors and Manesar
Sectors in New Gurgaon, the societies along Dwarka Expressway and the Manesar industrial and residential areas are distinct pickup endpoints, not just "Gurgaon". Collection runs and timings differ, so share the exact sector or IMT area, the society or company name, and the gate. For a factory or company campus in Manesar, check the gate pass rules for outside vehicles in advance.
We also discuss pickups across Sushant Lok, South City, Nirvana Country, MG Road, Sectors 21–23, 31, 45–57 and the 80s and 100-series sectors. If your area is not named, the same rule applies: tell us the type of place and the exact loading point.
Bike shifting services on the Gurgaon–Chandigarh route
- Doorstep collection from homes, societies, PGs and offices across Gurgaon, Gurugram, New Gurgaon and Manesar, at an agreed loading point.
- Model-aware packing for scooters, commuters, cruisers, adventure bikes, faired sports bikes, electric scooters and premium motorcycles.
- A condition record with photos, odometer reading, existing marks, keys and accessories, shared with you at collection.
- Road transport to Chandigarh and assessed Tricity endpoints, on shared space or an assessed direct arrangement.
- Final-door delivery to the agreed stopping point at the exact address, with unpacking and a joint check.
- Sender-to-receiver bookings, where the owner is in one city and a family member, friend or colleague hands over or receives.
- Non-running and special-handling bikes after assessment, with the extra people and time stated in the quote.
- Agreed holding or redelivery, only when arranged before dispatch.
Model-aware packing and loading
A fixed number of layers does not protect every bike equally. A scooter needs its floorboard and side panels covered; a cruiser needs its chrome and exhaust protected; a faired bike needs straps kept off its plastics. Packing on this route is planned around what your model actually has.
| Type | Areas that need attention | Loading note |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter | Front apron, side panels, floorboard, mirrors and the under-seat area | Under-seat items are removed and listed; the scooter is secured without pressing on body panels |
| Commuter or naked | Tank, levers, mirrors, indicators and instrument cluster | Straps go on strong frame points, not the handlebar ends |
| Cruiser or middle-weight | Tank, chrome, exhaust, saddle stays, backrest and crash guard | Weight means more hands at loading; the side stand and steering lock are checked |
| Adventure or tourer | Screen, hand guards, pannier frames, boxes and tall mirrors | Decide in advance whether boxes travel fitted or separately; height affects placement |
| Sports or faired | Fairing panels, clips, screen, clip-on bars and the tail section | Strap points avoid the plastics; compression on the fairing is avoided |
| Electric scooter | Body panels, display, charging port and charger | Prepared as per the manufacturer's and carrier's requirements for that model |
| Large or premium | Tank, exhaust, controls, luggage mounts and any expensive accessories | Weight and width are checked; a direct vehicle may be worth considering |
Electric scooters
We accept electric scooters subject to the exact model, and the carrier's and manufacturer's requirements for it. Share the make, model, variant and battery type. Tell us whether the charger travels with the scooter, and disclose any battery warning light, swelling, water exposure or crash history.
Preparation steps differ by model. Follow the manufacturer's guidance and the written instructions in your quote, rather than a generic rule about charge level or switches. Do not open the battery pack, remove it yourself or attempt any repair before shipping.
Non-running bikes
A bike that does not start can usually be moved after assessment. Tell us why it does not run, and whether the wheels roll freely, the steering turns, the brakes work and the keys and steering lock are available. A bike with a seized wheel or a locked handle without keys needs lifting or special equipment, which the quote will show. Disclose any fuel or oil leak in advance.
Petrol
Petrol is handled as per the accepted carrier's procedure for your model. We will tell you what is needed when we confirm the booking. Do not siphon fuel, vent the tank, or carry petrol separately in bottles. If the bike needs preparation, it is done by an authorised person, not as a roadside job.
Accessories and loose items
Remove phone mounts, cameras, helmets, tank bags and anything stored under the seat or in boxes, unless it is agreed and listed. Bolted accessories such as crash guards and racks normally stay on, but tell us about them, because they change both packing and space.
Step by step: from enquiry to handover
- Share the details. Send the model and variant, running condition, accessories, the exact Gurgaon pickup point and the full Tricity endpoint through the quote form, a call or WhatsApp.
- Get an assessed quote. The quote states the category, the booking type and each component as included or additional, along with the expected dispatch day and delivery window.
- Confirm both people. Name the sender and receiver with their mobile numbers, and settle any authorisation if the owner is not present.
- Prepare the bike. Remove loose items, keep the keys and document copies ready, take your own photos and follow the model-specific instructions you were given.
- Collection and condition record. At pickup, the bike is photographed, the odometer read and existing marks noted. You receive the consignment note and condition record before it leaves.
- Packing and dispatch. The bike is packed for its model and moves to the main carrier on the agreed arrangement. You are told when it is dispatched.
- Local delivery appointment. The receiver is contacted to fix a slot at the exact address.
- Handover and joint check. The bike is unpacked at the agreed stopping point and checked against the record. The receiver notes any remark on the delivery record before signing.
Road, railway parcel or accompanied luggage?
All three are legitimate ways to move a two-wheeler from Gurgaon to Chandigarh. On a short route, the local legs often decide which is easier. The bike has to reach a railway station on one side and leave a station on the other, and those two trips can take more planning than the train journey itself.
| Factor | Door-to-door road | Railway parcel | Accompanied luggage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local legs | Collection and delivery are part of the booking if the quote includes them | You take the bike to the booking station and collect it from the arrival station | You travel on the same train and handle both station ends yourself |
| Booking | An assessed quote for your model and both addresses | Station-based; check current acceptance and procedure at the stations you plan to use | Needs a train ticket and booking the bike as luggage under current rules |
| Fuel and preparation | As per the accepted carrier's procedure for your model | Official railway guidance requires an empty petrol tank; check station requirements | As per current railway rules for the booking |
| Electric scooters | Subject to exact-model acceptance | Check current railway rules before planning | Check current railway rules before planning |
| Who is present | A named sender and receiver at the addresses | You or an authorised person at both stations | You, at both ends |
| Best fit | Owners who cannot do both station trips, and premium, EV or non-running bikes | Owners near a booking station with time for both legs | Owners travelling the same day who can manage the stations |
Rail can work well if you live near a station that currently books two-wheeler parcels and can collect promptly in Chandigarh. Road transport makes more sense when the bike is in a basement or office, the receiver is someone else, or the endpoint is a Mohali or Zirakpur society far from the station. Whichever you choose, keep a condition record of your own.
Documents: carrying the bike, and what comes after arrival
For carriage
- A copy of the registration certificate (RC).
- A copy of the current insurance policy.
- A copy of the owner's ID.
- A short written authorisation if someone other than the owner hands over or receives the bike.
- PUC, where applicable.
Originals you need to ride the bike stay with you. At collection you receive the consignment note and the condition record. Keep both until the bike is delivered and checked.
Registration and road use in Chandigarh, Punjab or Haryana
Moving the bike and registering it later are separate matters. After a longer stay, the questions of re-registration, address change and tax depend on where the bike will actually live. Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana are different authorities with their own requirements.
- Chandigarh or a Punjab address (Mohali, Zirakpur or Kharar): if you are moving there long-term, check the current rules on registration reassignment and any applicable tax with that authority.
- Panchkula: because Panchkula is in Haryana, an HR-registered bike is not crossing into another state's system, but you may still need to update the RC address.
- Financed bikes: a bike under hypothecation may need the lender's clearance for some changes.
- Selling or transferring ownership: this has its own process and documents.
Check the current requirements with the relevant registering authority or the official transport portal, rather than relying on a general timeline from any website, including this one.
Transit cover, condition records and damage claims
Careful packing reduces risk, but no transporter can honestly promise that nothing will ever go wrong. Two things matter if something does: the record made at collection, and the cover you actually chose.
- Cover depends on the issued policy. What is protected depends on the stages the policy covers, the declared value you state and its exclusions. Pre-existing faults and mechanical or electrical issues are often treated differently from transit damage. Ask for the policy document, not a verbal assurance. If you choose cover, it appears as its own line in the quote.
- The condition record is your baseline. Check the photos, odometer reading and listed marks at collection, and take your own photos and a short video.
- Visible damage at delivery. Note it on the delivery record before signing, photograph it next to the packing material, and keep the packing.
- Damage found later. Report it in writing with photos as soon as possible. Some damage, such as a bent lever or a scuff under a cover, may only show once the bike is cleaned or ridden. Do not wait to see whether it gets worse.
- Claim documents. These normally include the consignment note, the condition record, pickup and delivery photos, ID, and a repair estimate from a service centre. Acceptance depends on the cover terms and the evidence, so prompt reporting helps.
Who books bike transport from Gurgaon to Chandigarh, and what each should decide
Employees moving for a job
People moving between Gurgaon offices and workplaces in Chandigarh or Mohali often have an office-parking pickup and a temporary first address. Decide whether to deliver to that temporary stay or wait for the permanent flat. Paying for one delivery to the right address is usually better than arranging a second local move.
Students and PG residents
For a hostel, PG or rented room, the receiving point and the key handover are the real risks. Confirm parking permission with the PG owner and name who will receive the bike. Match the delivery date to the day you move in, not the day you leave Gurgaon.
Families sending a bike to someone else
Parents sending a scooter to a son or daughter, or children sending a bike back to parents, need the sender and receiver named in the booking. Give the receiver the condition record in advance, so they know what to check.
Riders sending a bike ahead
Some riders send their motorcycle to Chandigarh or Zirakpur before a trip into the hills. If the bike must be ready on a specific morning, build in buffer days. Also confirm that your hotel or a friend can receive it if you arrive later than the bike.
Premium, non-running and electric two-wheeler owners
These bookings depend most on accurate details: the exact model and variant, accessories, condition and any warnings. For a high-value machine, compare shared space with an assessed direct vehicle, and decide on cover before collection, not after.
How to choose a provider for Gurgaon to Chandigarh bike transport
Ask every provider the same questions, including us:
- Does the quote mark collection, packing, loading, main carriage, final-door delivery, waiting, tax and cover as included or additional?
- Is the bike travelling in shared space or on a direct vehicle? If someone else carries the main leg, who is it?
- What is the expected dispatch day, and what is the delivery window, stated separately?
- Has the exact Tricity endpoint been assessed, or is it a flat "Tricity rate"?
- What condition record will you give me at collection?
- Which entity issues the consignment note and the invoice?
- If I choose cover, what are the policy terms, the declared value and the exclusions?
- What are the payment, cancellation and date-change terms, in writing?
Treat any claimed approval, rating or certification as something to verify. BikeShift Gurgaon does not claim IBA approval. You can read more about us, our terms and conditions and our privacy policy, or contact us with questions before booking.
Common mistakes, and sensible ways to save
Mistakes that cause delays or disputes
- Writing "Chandigarh" when the bike is going to Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur or Kharar.
- Giving a sector number without the city or pin code.
- Treating collection time as delivery time.
- Booking delivery for a day when nobody can receive it.
- Not telling office or society security that the bike is leaving.
- Hiding a non-running condition, a battery warning or a leak until pickup.
- Leaving helmets or valuables under the seat.
- Signing the delivery record before checking the bike against the condition record.
Sensible ways to save
- Choose shared space if a day either way is acceptable; keep a direct vehicle for when the timing truly needs it.
- Bring the bike to the gate or surface parking yourself, if that is easier than a basement collection.
- Remove boxes and removable accessories that do not need to travel fitted, after agreeing this in advance.
- Give complete details at enquiry, so the quote does not change on the day.
- Match collection to the receiver's availability, so you do not pay for holding or redelivery.

Our assessed planning bands are ₹2,400–₹2,900 for a scooter or small 100–125cc bike, ₹2,900–₹3,600 for a 150–200cc commuter or naked bike, ₹3,400–₹4,300 for a 250–450cc cruiser or middle-weight, ₹3,800–₹4,700 for an adventure or tourer, ₹3,900–₹4,800 for a sports or faired bike, ₹2,900–₹3,600 for an electric scooter subject to exact-model acceptance, and ₹6,500–₹8,800 for a large or premium motorcycle. The exact model, size, weight, accessories, running condition, pickup point and Tricity endpoint decide where you fall. The accepted quote states which of collection, packing, loading, main carriage, final-door delivery, waiting, tax and cover are included.
Is delivery to Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur or Kharar charged the same as Chandigarh?
Not automatically. The endpoint may fall under Chandigarh UT, Punjab (Mohali) or Haryana (Panchkula), and Zirakpur and Kharar are separate endpoints again. Each has a different final approach from where the main carrier arrives, so we assess the exact address rather than promising one Tricity rate. Share the city, sector or phase, house or tower, society gate, pin code and receiver, and the quote will say what final-door delivery to that address costs.
Can my bike reach Chandigarh on the same day it is collected in Gurgaon?
Sometimes, but only on a direct arrangement confirmed in advance. Same-day handover needs an early, confirmed collection, the bike packed and documented without delay, a vehicle that leaves straight for the Tricity, and a receiver available at the exact address that evening. If any of these is uncertain, plan on the normal timeline instead of paying for a same-day promise that the day cannot support.
How long does it normally take after pickup?
As a planning guide, about 1–2 working days after confirmed dispatch. Collection is not the same as dispatch: a bike collected in the afternoon may wait to be consolidated onto a carrier, and after arrival it still needs a local transfer and a delivery slot that suits the receiver. Ask for the expected dispatch day and the delivery window separately.
Can someone else hand over or receive the bike?
Yes, if they are named in advance. Tell us the sender's and receiver's names and mobile numbers, and give the person handing over a copy of the RC and owner ID plus a short written authorisation if they are not the owner. The receiver should check the bike against the pickup photos and condition record before signing.
Do you transport electric scooters from Gurgaon to Chandigarh?
Electric scooters are accepted subject to the exact model and the carrier's requirements. Share the make, model and variant, the charger and any accessories, and disclose any battery warning, swelling, water exposure or crash damage. Follow the manufacturer's guidance and our written preparation instructions for that model; do not open, remove or tamper with the battery yourself.
Can you move a bike that is not running?
Usually, after assessment. Tell us why it does not run and whether the wheels roll, the steering turns, the brakes work and the keys and steering lock are available. A bike that must be lifted or wheeled on a dolly needs more hands and time, which the quote will show. Fuel or oil leaks must be disclosed before collection.
How is a Royal Enfield or premium motorcycle packed, and what about petrol?
Packing follows the model rather than a fixed layer count: protection goes on the tank, exhaust, levers, mirrors, fairings, screens and luggage mounts that are actually present, and straps are placed on strong frame points instead of painted panels. Petrol is handled as per the accepted carrier and model procedure. Do not siphon, vent or carry fuel in bottles; follow the instruction in your quote.
What documents are needed to send a bike from Gurgaon to Chandigarh?
Keep copies of the RC, current insurance and owner ID ready, plus a written authorisation if someone other than the owner is sending or receiving, and PUC where applicable. Originals you need for riding stay with you. Copies of the consignment note, condition record and photos are given to you at collection.
Do I need to re-register my Haryana bike in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula?
Carrying the bike and registering it later are separate questions. Whether and when you must apply for a new registration, update the address or pay tax depends on the authority where the bike will stay: Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana each have their own rules, and Panchkula is in Haryana. Financed bikes may also need the lender's clearance. Check the current requirements with the relevant registering authority before you settle.
Is my bike insured during transit?
Only if cover is chosen and issued for your consignment. What it protects depends on the policy, the stages it covers, the declared value and its exclusions, so read the document rather than relying on a verbal assurance. If you choose cover, the quote shows it as its own line.
What should I do if I find damage at delivery or later?
Note any visible damage on the delivery record before signing, photograph it next to the packing, and keep the packing material. If you find something later, report it as soon as possible in writing with photos. A claim normally needs the consignment note, condition record, pickup and delivery photos, ID and a repair estimate. Acceptance depends on the cover terms and evidence, so prompt reporting matters.
What happens if nobody is ready to receive the bike in the Tricity?
Decide this before dispatch, not on delivery day. If PG keys, a family member or an office receiver may not be ready, ask whether holding and a later redelivery can be arranged, where the bike would be kept and what it costs. Any agreed holding or redelivery charge should appear in the accepted quote.
How do booking payment and cancellation work?
The amount due at booking, the balance, accepted payment methods, and what happens if you cancel or change the date all depend on the terms written in your accepted quote. Read them, along with our terms and conditions page, before confirming, and keep the payment receipt with your consignment note.
