Bike Transport from Gurgaon to Vadodara (Baroda)
Shifting to Vadodara for a new job, a plant posting or a college admission, and want your bike or scooter there without riding it down? Here is the short version. Depending on where in Gurugram the bike starts and which roads the carrier uses, Vadodara is roughly 850 to 1,050 km away by road. Once the bike is actually dispatched, plan on about 3–5 working days for it to reach Vadodara. Planning prices for one bike run from about ₹3,400 for a scooter to ₹10,500 for a large or premium motorcycle.
On this route, the receiving address decides more than the distance does. A tower in Vasna-Bhayli, a PG near MSU in Fatehgunj, a hostel at a university on Waghodia Road and a rented flat near a plant in Halol or Savli are four very different deliveries. Some of them are not even inside Vadodara city. Tell us the exact place and the person who will receive the bike, and the quote can be built around that.

Gurgaon to Vadodara at a glance
| Item | What to plan for |
|---|---|
| Road distance | About 850–1,050 km. The lower end applies when the carrier can use the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway from the Sohna side; the higher end when the load travels the NH-48 corridor through Rajasthan and Ahmedabad. |
| Transit planning | About 3–5 working days after confirmed dispatch. Allow more if the bike is routed through an Ahmedabad hub, or during heavy monsoon spells and the pre-Diwali rush. |
| Planning price | About ₹3,400–₹10,500 for one assessed bike, mainly depending on its type, size, value and condition. |
| Delivery areas | Vadodara city localities are assessed one address at a time. Halol, Savli, Manjusar, Waghodia, Padra, Nandesari and Anand are treated as separate endpoints. |
| Season to watch | Late July to September, when the Vishwamitri river has flooded low-lying parts of the city in recent years. Keep the delivery appointment flexible in those weeks. |
| What the quote confirms | Collection and delivery points, packing, loading, carriage, unloading, any local legs, applicable tax, the cover you choose and any special handling. |
Gurgaon to Vadodara bike transport charges
These are planning figures for one assessed bike, door to door within the main Vadodara city area. They are not a fixed tariff and not past invoices. Two bikes in the same row can be priced differently once the exact model, its condition and both addresses are known.
| Bike type | Typical examples | Planning range (one bike) | What usually moves the price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scooter | Activa, Jupiter, Access, Dio, Fascino and similar 110–125cc scooters | ₹3,400–₹4,600 | Top box, windscreen, leg guard, cracked panels that need extra padding |
| Commuter motorcycle | Splendor, Shine, Platina, HF Deluxe, Pulsar 125 or 150 | ₹3,900–₹5,000 | Crash guard, carrier, saree guard, flat or worn tyres |
| Street or performance | Apache RTR 160/200, FZ, Pulsar NS, MT-15, Duke 200/250, R15 | ₹4,600–₹5,900 | Fairings, wide bars, aftermarket exhaust or lights, higher declared value |
| Cruiser or tourer | Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Bullet, Himalayan, Jawa, Avenger | ₹5,000–₹6,500 | Weight, width, crash bars, panniers, touring screen |
| Accepted electric two-wheeler | Electric scooters and motorcycles, only after the specific model is accepted | ₹4,200–₹5,300 | Model acceptance, battery condition, charger, any handling instruction |
| Large or premium | 650cc twins, larger adventure bikes, imported or high-value motorcycles | ₹6,800–₹10,500 | Weight, value, full fairings, crate or dedicated slot, careful loading |
Why is Vadodara a little higher than Ahmedabad on most rows? It is a slightly longer run for most carriers, and fewer full loads go only to Vadodara. Some bikes travel on Mumbai-bound vehicles that pass through; others reach an Ahmedabad hub first and then come down the expressway on a second vehicle. That second handling costs time and money, so ask which way your bike will go.
Deliveries outside the city are quoted separately
The Vadodara figure covers the main city area. A delivery to Halol, Kalol (Panchmahal), Savli, Manjusar, Waghodia, Padra, Nandesari, Por, Karjan, Anand or Bharuch is a separate local leg and is priced as its own line. The same applies to a hard-to-reach address in the old city.
What your quote should spell out
- Where the bike is collected in Gurgaon: your door, the society gate or a handover point.
- Where it is delivered: your door in Vadodara, a confirmed handover point, or an outer endpoint such as Halol or Savli.
- Whether the bike travels direct or is transferred at Ahmedabad or another hub.
- The packing used, and which parts get extra protection.
- Loading at pickup and unloading at delivery.
- Any local leg charged separately at either end.
- GST, and whether it is included or added on top.
- Transit cover, if you choose it: the declared value, the premium and the main exclusions, especially for water damage.
- Holding charges per day if the bike arrives before you can receive it.
If any of these lines is missing, ask before you pay. A price that leaves out the last 40 km to Halol is not a cheaper price.
Cross-check the price on the right basis
Many listings for Delhi or Gurgaon to Vadodara give one figure "for a bike" or arrange prices only by engine size. Engine size is a rough starting point. A 125cc scooter with a top box and windscreen can need more space and care than a bare 150cc commuter, and a Classic 350 with crash bars and saddle stays is wider than the same bike without them. Give us the make, model, variant and fitted accessories, and a few photos, so the quote does not change on pickup day.
Distance, route and realistic timing
There is no single correct distance for this route. Two road options are in common use:
- Delhi–Mumbai Expressway from the Sohna end. The Delhi–Vadodara section is about 845 km and starts near Alipur village on the Sohna–Gurgaon road, very close to south Gurugram. Where the carrier can use the operational stretches, this is the shorter road.
- NH-48 corridor. Through Jaipur, Udaipur and Ahmedabad, then down to Vadodara. This is longer, but many carriers still use it because their Gujarat hub is in Ahmedabad.
Which road your bike takes is the carrier's decision and depends on the vehicle, the load and the stretches open at the time. You do not need to choose it. You only need to know whether the bike goes straight to Vadodara or is handled again at a hub on the way, because that decides the extra day or two.
A car can cover the distance in a long day of driving. Freight does not work like that. A bike is collected, packed, held until a vehicle heading to Gujarat has space, carried, unloaded and then delivered locally. For planning, allow about 3–5 working days after the bike is dispatched. This is a researched planning estimate, not a record of any particular trip.
| Stage | What happens | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry and assessment | Model, condition and both addresses are checked and a price is agreed | Start a week or more before you need the bike collected |
| Collection in Gurgaon | Inspection, photos, condition record, packing and pickup | Your society may need a gate pass before the bike can leave |
| Dispatch | The bike leaves on a vehicle heading to Gujarat | The 3–5 working day window counts from here, not from collection |
| Hub transfer (if any) | The bike is moved from an Ahmedabad or other hub to a Vadodara vehicle | Ask at booking whether this applies; it can add a day or two |
| Local leg | The bike is routed to your locality or outer endpoint | Halol, Savli and Waghodia deliveries are scheduled separately |
| Final handover | Delivery at an agreed time to the named receiver | Fixed by appointment, not on the day the bike reaches the city |
A simple rule: if the bike is dispatched on a Monday, Thursday is the earliest realistic day to expect it in Vadodara, and the window can run into the following week. Do not plan your first ride to a new office on that Thursday.
Where in Vadodara will the bike actually be received?
People moving on this route often work in one part of the region and live in another. A plant job in Halol or Savli may come with a flat in Vadodara city. A posting near the Koyali refinery may mean living on the Gotri or Old Padra Road side. Students at universities outside the city usually stay in PGs and hostels nearby. The bike should go where you will sleep and park it, not where you will work.
Vasna-Bhayli, Gotri, Sevasi and Gotri–Sevasi Road
The western side has grown fast, with many new gated societies and high-rise towers, and a lot of people relocating from NCR end up here. Delivery is usually straightforward. Security desks, however, often want the receiver's name and flat number in advance, and some societies only allow a handover at the main gate. Share the society name, tower, flat number, whether you have a parking slot, and the security desk number if you have it. Newer roads and towers here can confuse a first-time driver, so a pinned location helps a lot.
Alkapuri, Akota, Old Padra Road, Race Course and Productivity Road
These are established central-west areas with apartments, older bungalows and offices close together. Traffic around Alkapuri and Race Course during office hours can stretch a delivery window, so a mid-morning or afternoon slot usually works better. Note that parts of Akota are close to the Vishwamitri and were waterlogged in the 2024 floods; read the monsoon section below if you are moving in July to September.
Fatehgunj, Sayajigunj and the MSU area
This is where many students and young professionals stay, often in PGs, shared flats and older buildings around the Maharaja Sayajirao University campus and the railway station side. Parking can be a single shared stilt or the roadside. Before booking, confirm with the PG owner or warden that you are allowed to keep a two-wheeler there. Share the owner's number as a backup receiver, because students are often in class at the delivery time.
Sama, Harni, Nizampura, Chhani and Karelibaug
The northern side has a mix of societies, row houses and newer apartments along the Sama–Savli and Harni roads. Addresses can be hard to find from a society name alone, so add a landmark. Some low-lying pockets here, especially along the Harni–Sama link road, were among the worst affected in the August 2024 flood, which matters if you are timing a monsoon delivery.
Manjalpur, Makarpura, Tarsali, Atladra and Maneja
The southern side is largely residential societies with the Makarpura GIDC industrial area close by. If you work in Makarpura GIDC, check with your company before giving a factory address; most units have gate security and visitor rules. A residence in Manjalpur or Tarsali is usually the simpler delivery point.
Waghodia Road, Ajwa Road and the eastern side
Waghodia Road and Ajwa Road have many societies and are also the way out to the university and industrial belt east of the city. A delivery inside the city limits on these roads is a normal city job. A hostel or PG further out towards Waghodia or Limda is an outer endpoint and is assessed separately.
Old city: Mandvi, Raopura, Dandia Bazaar and Panigate
The old walled-city area has narrow, crowded lanes and older buildings where a larger vehicle cannot safely or lawfully reach the door. The practical answer is to agree, at booking, on a nearby point where a vehicle can stop. The bike is unloaded there and wheeled the last stretch by the receiver. Planning this in advance is far easier than discovering it on delivery day.
Halol, Savli, Waghodia and other outer endpoints
A large share of people moving from Gurgaon to "Vadodara" are actually going to the industrial and education belt around it. These places are not part of a city rate. Each is a separate local leg, scheduled on its own.
- Halol and Kalol (Panchmahal). Automobile and engineering plants and a growing rental market. Many employees live in Halol itself, others commute from Vadodara. Decide which address will receive the bike before booking.
- Savli and Manjusar. GIDC estates with large manufacturing units. Plant gates rarely accept a personal vehicle for an employee who has not joined yet, so a residence is safer.
- Waghodia and Limda. Industrial units plus a big student population at universities on this side. For a hostel, get the warden's confirmation that two-wheelers are allowed inside.
- Nandesari, Por, Padra and the Koyali side. Chemical and refinery areas with strict site security. Give a residence address and your shift timings.
- Anand, Nadiad, Bharuch and Ankleshwar. Nearby cities often reached through Vadodara. They are quoted as their own destinations, not as Vadodara.
For any of these, tell us the full address, the nearest landmark, the receiver's name and phone, and your shift pattern. If you work rotating shifts, the delivery appointment should fall in your off-hours, or with a named neighbour or flatmate.
Receiving decision table for Vadodara addresses
Use this to work out what to share for your type of address and what to do if it cannot take the bike. It does not describe any building's or company's own entry rules; check those locally.
| Receiving place | Details to share | What can change the appointment or price | Practical fallback |
|---|---|---|---|
| High-rise society, Vasna-Bhayli, Gotri or Sevasi | Society, tower, flat, parking slot, security desk number, receiver and backup | Gate-only handover rules, prior entry approval | Handover at the main gate with the receiver present |
| Apartment or bungalow, Alkapuri, Akota or Old Padra Road | Full address, landmark, preferred time window | Office-hour traffic, limited stopping space | A mid-day slot, or a nearby lawful stopping point |
| PG or shared flat, Fatehgunj or Sayajigunj | Owner or warden contact, parking permission, receiver | No parking permission yet, receiver in class | Owner or a friend nearby as named receiver |
| Society, Sama, Harni, Manjalpur or Tarsali | Society name, landmark, pinned location, receiver timings | Hard-to-find address, monsoon waterlogging | Backup receiver nearby, flexible date in heavy rain |
| Old city lane, Mandvi or Raopura | Building, lane and nearest main road where a vehicle can stop | Lane width, traffic, no stopping place at the door | Agreed nearby point, receiver wheels the bike in |
| Plant or GIDC unit, Makarpura, Savli, Halol or Nandesari | Whether the site accepts personal vehicles, gate details, shift pattern, residence address | Site security, shift changes, distance from city | Deliver to your residence, timed outside your shift |
| University hostel, Waghodia or Limda side | Hostel block, warden contact, campus gate rules | Campus entry rules, separate outer leg | A PG or friend's address just outside campus |
| Outer town, Anand, Padra or Halol residence | Full address, landmark, receiver | Separate assessment as its own endpoint | A city address for handover if timing is tight |
Monsoon, Vishwamitri floods and festival weeks
This is the one planning point that most bike transport pages for Vadodara leave out. The Vishwamitri river runs through the middle of the city, and when heavy rain in the catchment fills the Ajwa dam, the released water raises the river level quickly. The city saw floods in 2013, 2014, 2019 and, very badly, in August 2024, when areas such as Sayajigunj, Fatehgunj, Harni, Sama, Akota, Karelibaug and Vadsar were waterlogged. During such spells, residents of low-lying areas even park their vehicles on flyovers to keep them out of the water.
What this means for your bike:
- Keep the delivery date flexible from late July to September. If there is a heavy rain alert, it is better to hold the bike for a day or two than deliver it into a waterlogged ground floor or basement.
- Check your parking. If your society's parking is in a basement or a low-lying stilt, ask neighbours how it fared in past monsoons before you plan to leave the bike there.
- Read the cover terms for water damage. Damage after delivery is not transit damage. Know where the carrier's responsibility ends.
- Agree holding terms before dispatch. If delivery has to wait for water to recede, you should already know the daily charge and where the bike will be kept.
Festival weeks matter too. Vadodara's Navratri garba draws very large crowds, and evening traffic around the big grounds can make late deliveries slow. Carriers on all routes get busier in the weeks before Diwali, and dispatch can take longer to line up. If your move falls in these weeks, book earlier and accept a morning or mid-day appointment.
Move-sequence worksheet
Fill this in before booking. Each line links part of your own move to the bike's schedule. Gaps here are what usually leave a bike waiting at a gate with nobody to receive it.
| Item | Why it matters | Your answer |
|---|---|---|
| Gurgaon gate pass or move-out approval | Many societies will not let a vehicle leave without it | Approved on: ________ |
| Your own travel date | Your train or flight will reach well before the bike | Reaching Vadodara: ________ |
| Parking permission at the new place | A PG or flat without confirmed parking cannot really receive a bike | Confirmed by: ________ |
| Keys or possession of the new place | You may not have access until a specific date | From: ________ |
| Confirmed dispatch date | The 3–5 working day window starts here | Dispatch: ________ |
| Direct or via a hub | A hub transfer can add a day or two | Direct / via ________ |
| Monsoon or festival week? | Rain alerts and festival traffic can move the appointment | Yes / No |
| Receiver and backup | If one person is unavailable, delivery still happens | Receiver: ________ Backup: ________ |
| Holding terms if the bike arrives early | Free storage should never be assumed | Agreed: ________ |
Your joining date is not the date the bike should arrive. Most people spend their first days in Vadodara on a rental agreement, a gas connection, bank changes and learning the commute. Aim for the bike to arrive a day or two after you are settled, and use an auto, a cab or a colleague's lift for the first few days. If you are joining a plant in Halol or Savli, the company bus usually solves the first week anyway.
Worked example: two quotes for a scooter going to an MSU student
This example is hypothetical. It is not a real invoice, a past job or our fixed charges. It only shows how to compare quotes on the same lines.
Scenario: a parent in DLF Phase 3 is sending a 110cc scooter to their daughter, who has joined a course at MSU and lives in a PG in Fatehgunj. The PG has a shared stilt parking. Both quotes offer optional transit cover at an assumed ₹380.
| Cost line | Quote A | Quote B |
|---|---|---|
| Collection, packing and carriage | ₹3,300 | ₹4,100 (covers every line below except cover) |
| Delivery point | Handover at the carrier's yard on the city outskirts | Door delivery at the PG in Fatehgunj |
| Last leg to the PG | Not included; student arranges, estimated ₹500 | Included |
| GST | Added on top, assumed ₹170 | Included |
| Transit cover (chosen) | ₹380 | ₹380 |
| Comparable total | ₹4,350 | ₹4,480 |
Quote A first looked ₹800 cheaper. Once the missing lines are added, the gap is ₹130. For that ₹130, Quote A also asks a student, who may not know the city yet, to reach a yard on the outskirts, check the scooter alone and ride it back with an almost empty tank. Neither quote is wrong. The point is to compare them on the same lines before choosing.
How different bikes are assessed for this route
Scooters
Scooters are the most common bikes on this route, often sent to students or to family. Their panels scratch and crack easily, and the front apron and mirrors are exposed. Mention a top box, windscreen, backrest or leg guard when asking for a price; a top box may need to come off and be packed separately.
Commuter motorcycles
These are simple to handle. The usual care points are mirrors, indicators and the front mudguard. Crash guards and carriers add width, so mention them.
Royal Enfield, Jawa and other 350cc-class bikes
Heavy and often fitted with crash bars, saddle stays, extra lights or screens. Weight changes how the bike is pushed, loaded and tied down. Take off soft luggage and send it with your household goods. Tell us about fitted hard panniers so they can be assessed.
Faired and sport bikes
Fairings, visors and lever ends are the exposed parts. Low ground clearance matters on loading ramps. Share clear photos of the fairing condition before booking, so existing marks are recorded at pickup.
Large and premium motorcycles
Higher value and weight mean more careful loading, more protection on paint and body, and sometimes a crate or a dedicated slot. List expensive aftermarket parts, photograph them, and think about the declared value for cover.
Electric scooters and motorcycles
An EV is moved only after the specific model is accepted for carriage. Share the make, model and variant, whether the battery is fixed or removable, and any warning lights, swelling or water exposure in the past. Follow the manufacturer's and carrier's instructions on charge level. Do not open or remove the battery yourself, and pack the charger with your belongings unless another arrangement is agreed.
Non-running or damaged bikes
A bike that does not start, has a flat tyre, a jammed chain or accident damage can often still be moved, but it needs more hands and sometimes equipment at loading and unloading. Tell us at the start so the price reflects it.
Before the bike is packed
- Wash the bike a day or two before pickup and let it dry fully. Packing over a damp bike traps moisture against the paint, which matters on a humid route into Gujarat in the monsoon.
- Let the engine and exhaust cool before packing.
- Fold or remove mirrors as advised for your model, and keep removed parts listed on the condition record.
- Remove phone mounts, tank bags, helmet locks and anything under the seat.
- Hand over only the keys needed; keep the spare with you.
- Take photos of all sides, close-ups of existing marks and a photo of the odometer.
- Follow the fuel instruction for your booking. Never pack spare fuel in a bottle.
From booking to receiving in Vadodara
- Share the details. Model and variant, condition, accessories, pickup sector in Gurugram, full receiving address in Vadodara or the outer endpoint, and your dates.
- Get the assessment and price. The quote lists what is included and what is not, using the checklist above.
- Agree the dates. Collection date, expected dispatch, whether there is a hub transfer, and how the final appointment will be fixed.
- Agree payment terms. The advance, when the balance is due and the cancellation terms, in writing.
- Prepare the bike and papers. Clean, dry, photographed, odometer noted, accessories removed, document copies ready.
- Collection in Gurgaon. The bike is inspected with you, its condition recorded and signed, then packed and collected. Keep your copy.
- Dispatch and updates. You are told when the bike actually leaves, and whom to contact during transit.
- Appointment in Vadodara. As the bike nears the city, the handover time is fixed with your receiver.
- Handover and check. Unpack, inspect against the pickup photos and record, and note any visible damage on the delivery record before signing.
Documents, GJ-06 re-registration and cover
For the transport itself, keep copies of the RC, valid insurance and the owner's photo ID ready. Keep the originals with you. If a parent, flatmate or colleague will hand over or receive the bike, give them a signed authorisation and ask them to carry their own ID. This comes up often on this route, when a parent in Gurgaon sends a scooter to a student in Vadodara.
Moving the bike versus re-registering it in Gujarat
Transporting a Haryana-registered bike to Gujarat does not change its registration, and an NOC is not usually needed just to carry it. If you will keep and use the bike in Vadodara for a longer period, re-registration with the Vadodara RTO (GJ-06) becomes a separate question. That process normally needs a clearance from the original Haryana registering authority, and Gujarat road tax rules for vehicles from other states may apply. Check the current requirements with the transport department rather than relying on a tax-free period you have heard about. If the bike is under a loan, the lender's NOC is usually needed for registration changes.
Transit cover
Transit cover applies only if you choose it and it is actually issued. Before dispatch, read the declared value it is based on, the exclusions and how claims are made. Your own motor policy may not cover the bike while it is carried as goods. Cover improves your position if something goes wrong; it does not mean every loss is paid in full.
If you find damage
Inspect the bike at handover against the pickup record before signing. Note visible damage on the delivery record, photograph it and report it promptly. If you notice something later, report it in writing as soon as you can, with photos and the booking number. Do not get repairs done until the issue has been assessed.
Road transport, rail parcel or riding to Vadodara
| Option | What you do | What to confirm | Usually suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Road transport by a carrier | Prepare the bike, hand it over, receive it at the agreed point | Delivery point, what the price covers, hub transfer, cover, timing window | Owners who want door collection and delivery without station visits |
| Rail parcel | Pack the bike, book it at a station parcel office, collect it at Vadodara | Booking station, train, model acceptance, documents, current procedure | Owners near a suitable Delhi station who can handle both ends |
| Rail luggage | Book the bike against your own ticket on your train | Whether your train and stations accept it, packing, collection on arrival | Owners travelling by train who want the bike on the same train |
| Riding it yourself | Ride about 950–1,050 km on roads open to two-wheelers | Permitted roads, rest stops, heat or rain, bike service condition | Experienced riders with two or three days to spare |
What rail really involves from Gurgaon
Vadodara Junction is a major stop on the Delhi–Mumbai main line, and most direct trains to it leave from New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin, not from Gurugram station, which sits on a different line. So a rail booking usually means taking the bike across Delhi to the booking station first, then collecting it at Vadodara and getting it home. Railway parcel bookings need proper packing, the RC and ID, and an empty tank. A parcel may travel on a different train and day from you. Confirm the procedure at the station you plan to use before you go.
Riding to Vadodara
The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is access-controlled and does not allow two-wheelers, so a rider cannot use the shortest road. The ride goes on national and state highways, which makes it longer, typically two long days with an overnight stop. In summer the Rajasthan and Gujarat stretches are very hot, and in the monsoon central Gujarat sees heavy spells. If you are also moving house and starting a new job that week, be honest with yourself about whether the ride is the best use of your time.
Choosing a provider for Gurgaon to Vadodara
Search results for this route are full of generic listings that repeat the same promises with no detail about Vadodara itself. Judge any provider, including us, on what they put in writing:
- Scope: pickup and delivery points, packing, loading, local legs, hub transfer, tax and cover.
- Questions they ask: a provider who asks about your society gate, your parking and whether the address is in Vadodara or Halol is planning the job. One who only asks "which bike?" is guessing.
- Evidence: a condition record at pickup, photos, and a delivery record you can note damage on.
- Contact: a reachable phone number and a clear way to get updates while the bike is moving.
Be careful with promises no honest provider can make: a guaranteed delivery date in all conditions, packing that is "100% damage-free", or cover that "pays for everything". If a provider mentions an approval or certification, ask for something you can verify. BikeShift Gurgaon does not claim IBA approval.
Common mistakes on this route
- Writing "Vadodara" when the bike is actually going to Halol, Savli or a Waghodia hostel.
- Giving a plant or GIDC address without checking whether it will receive a personal vehicle.
- Fixing delivery for a monsoon week with no flexibility and no holding terms.
- Sending a scooter to a PG before the owner has agreed to parking.
- Comparing quotes on the headline figure without checking local legs, GST and cover.
- Forgetting the Gurgaon society gate pass until pickup morning.
- Skipping photos at pickup, then having nothing to compare against in Vadodara.
How BikeShift Gurgaon handles your Vadodara enquiry
We ask for the bike model, its condition, your Gurugram pickup point and the exact receiving address, whether it is in Vadodara city or an outer endpoint. We tell you whether the bike is expected to go direct or through a hub, what the price includes and what it does not. If the address looks difficult, such as a plant gate, an old-city lane or a hostel with campus rules, we say so and suggest a practical alternative. You can read more about us, our terms and conditions and privacy policy, or contact us directly.
Frequently asked questions
What are the bike transport charges from Gurgaon to Vadodara?
Planning ranges for one assessed bike are about ₹3,400 to ₹4,600 for a scooter, ₹3,900 to ₹5,000 for a commuter motorcycle, ₹4,600 to ₹5,900 for a street or performance bike, ₹5,000 to ₹6,500 for a cruiser such as a Classic 350, ₹4,200 to ₹5,300 for an accepted electric two-wheeler and ₹6,800 to ₹10,500 for a large or premium motorcycle. The final quote depends on the exact model, its condition, both addresses, packing, local legs, GST and any cover you choose.
How many days does bike transport from Gurgaon to Vadodara take?
Plan on about 3 to 5 working days after the bike is actually dispatched. Collection in Gurgaon happens before that, and the handover in Vadodara is fixed by appointment. If the bike is transferred at an Ahmedabad hub, or the move falls in a heavy monsoon spell or the pre-Diwali rush, allow a day or two more.
What is the road distance from Gurgaon to Vadodara?
Roughly 850 to 1,050 km, depending on the start point in Gurugram and the roads used. The Delhi–Vadodara section of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is about 845 km from its start near Sohna. Carriers that route through Jaipur, Udaipur and Ahmedabad cover a longer distance.
Is Baroda the same as Vadodara for booking?
Yes. Baroda is the older name of Vadodara and both are used for the same city. For booking, what matters is the exact locality and pin code, not which name you use.
Can you deliver my bike to Halol, Savli or Waghodia?
These are assessed as separate endpoints outside Vadodara city, with their own local leg. Share the full address, a landmark and the receiver's details. If the address is a plant or GIDC unit, check first whether the site accepts personal vehicles; a residence is usually the better delivery point.
Can I send a scooter to my son or daughter studying in Vadodara?
Yes. Confirm with the PG owner or hostel warden that a two-wheeler is allowed, name the student and a backup receiver such as the owner, and give the student a copy of the RC, insurance and an authorisation letter if the scooter is registered in a parent's name. Share the pickup photos with the student so they can check the scooter at delivery.
Should I avoid moving my bike to Vadodara in the monsoon?
You do not need to avoid it, but keep the delivery date flexible from late July to September. The Vishwamitri river has flooded low-lying parts of the city in recent years, including in 2019 and 2024. Agree holding terms before dispatch, check how your society's parking fared in past rains, and read the cover terms on water damage.
Do you transport Royal Enfield bikes from Gurgaon to Vadodara?
Yes, after assessing the model. Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Bullet and Himalayan usually fall in the ₹5,000 to ₹6,500 planning range. Mention crash bars, saddle stays or panniers when asking for a price, because they change packing and space.
Can you move an electric scooter from Gurgaon to Vadodara?
Only after the specific model is accepted for carriage. Share the make, model, variant and battery type, and any past warning lights or water exposure. The planning range for an accepted EV is about ₹4,200 to ₹5,300. Do not open or remove the battery yourself, and pack the charger with your belongings unless agreed otherwise.
Is sending a bike by train from Gurgaon to Vadodara cheaper?
The railway freight figure alone can look lower, but it covers only station to station. Most direct Vadodara trains leave from New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin, so you would take the bike across Delhi, arrange packing, empty the tank, complete the booking and later collect it from Vadodara station. Can I ride my bike from Gurgaon to Vadodara on the expressway?
No. The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is access-controlled and two-wheelers are not allowed on it. A ride has to use national and state highways open to two-wheelers, which is longer, usually two long days with an overnight stop.
Do I need to re-register my Haryana bike in Vadodara?
Not just for moving it. If you will keep and use the bike in Gujarat for a longer period, re-registration with the Vadodara RTO (GJ-06) becomes relevant, usually with a clearance from the Haryana registering authority, and road tax rules may apply. Check the current requirements with the transport department, and ask your lender about an NOC if the bike is on a loan.
Which documents are needed for bike transport to Vadodara?
Copies of the RC, valid insurance and the owner's photo ID. If someone else is handing over or receiving the bike, a signed authorisation letter and their own ID. Keep the originals with you, and keep the consignment or booking record until delivery is signed off.
What happens if my bike reaches Vadodara before I do?
Ask before dispatch whether holding is available, for how long, at what daily charge and how redelivery works. If it is not, name a receiver who can take the bike in, or move the dispatch date so the bike arrives after you.
Is transit insurance included in the price?
Not automatically. Cover applies only if you choose it and it is issued. Before dispatch, read the declared value, premium, exclusions and claim steps. Your own motor policy may not cover the bike while it is carried as goods.
What should I check when the bike is delivered in Vadodara?
Unpack and inspect with the delivery person present, in decent light, before signing. Compare the bike with the pickup photos: tank, panels, mirrors, levers, lights, footpegs, exhaust, tyres and odometer. Check keys and listed accessories. Note any problem on the delivery record and photograph it before the delivery person leaves.
