Bike Transport Gurgaon to Ranchi

Bike transport from Gurgaon to Ranchi usually works out to about ₹4,000–₹5,200 for a scooter, ₹4,600–₹5,600 for a commuter bike and ₹5,800–₹7,200 for a cruiser such as a Royal Enfield Classic 350. Large or premium motorcycles sit in a wider band of roughly ₹8,000–₹12,000. These are planning bands for one assessed bike, not a fixed rate card. Your written quote depends on the exact model, its condition and both addresses. By road, the two cities are roughly 1,250–1,320 km apart, depending on where you start and finish. For planning, allow about 4–7 working days after the bike is confirmed as dispatched.

The Ranchi end of this route needs more planning than most people expect. Heavy goods vehicles are kept out of the city for most of the day, so the truck carrying your bike often cannot drive up to your gate in the afternoon. The city has two main railway stations, Ranchi Junction and Hatia, and they are on opposite sides of town. BIT Mesra and the Central University of Jharkhand are well outside the core city, and Jamshedpur, Bokaro and Hazaribagh are separate cities altogether, even though many people write "Ranchi" on the booking form. This page covers charges and timing, and then the practical details that decide whether the handover in Ranchi goes smoothly.

Gurgaon to Ranchi bike transport charges by model

The bands below assume one running bike going from a normally accessible Gurgaon address to an address inside Ranchi city. They follow the prices we advertise for nearby eastern routes and what the wider market currently quotes for Delhi NCR to Ranchi. Use them to set a budget and to spot a quote that is far out of line.

Indicative planning bands for one assessed bike, Gurgaon to Ranchi (INR)
Bike type Typical examples Indicative band What usually changes the quote
Scooter Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access, Honda Dio ₹4,000–₹5,200 Body panels and the front apron need full wrapping; under-seat storage must be empty; the exact Ranchi locality.
Commuter bike Hero Splendor, Honda Shine, Bajaj Platina, TVS Raider ₹4,600–₹5,600 Usually simple. Leg guards, carriers, a non-starting engine or a delivery outside city limits move the figure.
Street or performance bike Pulsar NS200, Apache RTR 200, KTM Duke 200/250, Yamaha R15 ₹5,200–₹6,600 Fairings and tank need extra padding; low clearance needs a gentle ramp angle; higher declared value if you choose cover.
Cruiser or tourer Royal Enfield Classic, Bullet, Hunter, Meteor, Himalayan; Jawa and Yezdi ₹5,800–₹7,200 Weight and width; crash guards, saddle stays, panniers; more hands to load and unload.
Electric scooter (if accepted) Ather, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 ₹4,800–₹6,000 Acceptance is checked model by model for the battery and the carriage available; charger listed separately.
Large or premium motorcycle RE 650 twins, Kawasaki Ninja 650/Z900, larger Triumph and Harley-Davidson models ₹8,000–₹12,000 Weight, width and value; heavier packing or a frame on request; whether shared carriage suits the bike.

You will find very different numbers for this route online. Some Delhi to Ranchi listings show a "starting" bike price near ₹5,000, others show ₹2,000–₹4,000 for a small bike, and a few go past ₹9,000. Most of that gap is scope. Some figures cover only carriage between two depots, some split packing and labour into separate lines, and some include doorstep delivery at both ends. Line up what each quote includes before you compare the totals. The quote comparison below shows how quickly a cheaper-looking figure can turn expensive.

Why Ranchi costs a little more than Patna but less than Kolkata

Ranchi is a few hundred kilometres further from Gurgaon than Patna, and the last part of the trip runs south off the main GT Road corridor, through Hazaribagh and Ramgarh. Fewer loads go to Ranchi than to Kolkata, so a bike can sometimes wait a little longer for a carrier with space going that way. At the receiving end, the city's daytime truck restrictions often mean a transfer to a smaller vehicle for the final leg. These three things are why our Ranchi bands sit between our Gurgaon to Patna and Gurgaon to Kolkata bands.

What your written quotation should list

If something matters to you, check that it is on the quotation in writing. A figure given over the phone is not a scope.

Distance, route and realistic delivery timing

The road distance from Gurgaon to Ranchi is about 1,250–1,320 km. Carriers heading this way commonly run east through Uttar Pradesh towards Varanasi, cross into Bihar on the GT Road (NH-19) and then turn south at Barhi onto the four-lane road through Hazaribagh and Ramgarh into Ranchi. Some loads go via other corridors or transfer points. The actual route is the carrier's decision and is not fixed in advance, and you do not need to know it to plan well.

Navigation apps show roughly 19–21 hours of driving for a car going straight through. That is not a delivery time. Your bike waits for pickup, may wait while the load is consolidated, rides on a truck that halts and rests on the way, and then needs a delivery appointment that fits Ranchi's traffic rules. Planning a move around the driving time is the most common mistake on this route.

Stages of a Gurgaon to Ranchi bike shipment
Stage What happens Planning note
1. Assessment and quotation We check the model, condition and both addresses, then send a written quotation. Faster if you send photos, the exact variant and both map pins at the start.
2. Pickup in Gurgaon The bike is inspected, photographed, packed and collected. This is the day the bike leaves your parking, not the day it leaves Gurgaon.
3. Consolidation In shared carriage, the bike may wait until a carrier heading towards Jharkhand has space. Ask for the expected dispatch date and ask to be told when it is confirmed.
4. Transit The bike travels east and then south into Jharkhand. About 4–7 working days after confirmed dispatch is a sensible planning estimate, not a deadline.
5. Final leg in Ranchi The bike may be shifted to a smaller vehicle at the edge of the city, or delivered in an early or late slot. Depends on the city's entry timings that day and the receiver's availability.
6. Handover The bike is unloaded, unwrapped and checked against the pickup photos. The receiver signs only after the check.

Ranchi's no-entry hours for trucks

For years, Ranchi has kept heavy goods vehicles out of the urban area for most of the day, with trucks sent round the city on the Ring Road. The window reported in the press has been roughly 8 am to 10 pm, though the exact timings and roads can change. During Ram Navami, the Durga Puja days and the Shravani Mela crowds around Pahari Mandir, the restrictions get tighter and some roads close to general traffic as well.

What this means for you:

Ask any provider, ours included, how the last leg inside Ranchi will be done and whether it is already in the price. A quote that says "door delivery" without explaining this is worth questioning.

Monsoon and the Chotanagpur rains

Ranchi gets heavy rain from about June to September, and its average annual rainfall is around 1,400 mm. Stretch film and foam protect paint from rubbing, but they are not waterproof, and water trapped inside packing for several days can leave marks. In the monsoon months we take more care to wrap the bike dry and to keep electricals, the seat and the instrument cluster well covered. At the Ranchi end, ask the receiver to pick a covered spot, a porch or a building entrance, for unwrapping and inspection. A bike unwrapped in the rain cannot be checked properly.

Pickup from your Gurgaon address

We collect from residential and office addresses across Gurgaon: societies on Golf Course Road and Golf Course Extension, the DLF phases, Sohna Road, New Gurgaon and the Dwarka Expressway sectors, Palam Vihar, Sushant Lok, Udyog Vihar and Manesar. If your society needs a gate pass or a move-out slot, arrange it a few days before. Tell us the basement level and whether outside vehicles can come in. Someone with the keys must be present for the inspection and the condition photos.

Festival and holiday rush

A lot of people working in Gurgaon are from Jharkhand, and many of them go home for Chhath, Durga Puja and Diwali. Demand for bike transport towards Ranchi rises in those weeks. If you are planning a move around October or November, start the enquiry early, and check whether the family member receiving in Ranchi will actually be at home on the likely delivery days. Festival plans are often what decide whether a handover happens on time.

Planning the receiving end in Ranchi

"Ranchi" on a booking form is not enough. The city is spread out, with old market areas in the centre, HEC township and newer colonies to the south-west, institutional areas and apartments to the north, and the Ring Road running round the outside. For every Ranchi delivery we ask for the exact locality, house or flat number, a landmark, a map pin at the actual gate, where a vehicle can stop and the name and number of the person receiving. We do not promise that any particular vehicle can reach every street. That depends on the vehicle used for the last leg, the lane and the traffic rules on that day.

Main Road, Upper Bazar, Hindpiri, Karamtoli and Lalpur

The central part of the city is busy through the day, with markets, coaching centres and narrow inner lanes. Parking space in front of the house is often not available. For these addresses the sensible plan is usually an agreed nearby point on a wider road where the bike can be unloaded and checked, after which it is wheeled or ridden home with the receiver. An early-morning slot, before the shops open, tends to work best. Tell us the nearest road a small goods vehicle can use; the family at that address usually knows.

Kanke Road, Morabadi, Bariatu and Ratu Road

The northern side has a mix of apartment societies, government quarters, older bungalows and colonies on Kanke Road and around Morabadi. Apartment societies may have their own rules for delivery vehicles, so the receiver should check with the society office where the bike can be unloaded. Around Bariatu, traffic near RIMS can be heavy at hospital visiting times, so avoid those hours if you can. On Ratu Road and towards Piska More, give a clear landmark, because addresses spread a long way along the road.

Doranda, Hinoo, Harmu, Argora, Ashok Nagar and Kadru

These south and south-central areas are largely residential, with colonies, independent houses and apartment blocks. Lanes inside colonies can be narrow even when the main road is wide. Send the house number with the colony name and a map pin, and say whether there is space to stand a vehicle outside the gate. Hinoo is close to the airport road; if the receiver is coming back from the airport on delivery day, factor that into the slot.

Dhurwa, HEC township, Hatia and Tupudana

The HEC township around Dhurwa uses sector and quarter numbers, and the newer development in this belt keeps adding blocks and roads. Give the sector, the quarter or flat number and a pin at the gate, not just "Dhurwa". Roads here are generally wider, which makes unloading easier, but the area is large and finding the right quarter can take time if the details are thin. Hatia railway station is also in this part of the city, which matters if you are comparing rail options.

Kokar, Booty More, Namkum and Tatisilwai

The eastern side mixes residential colonies with industrial and commercial stretches near the Ring Road. Some addresses are easier to reach precisely because they are close to the Ring Road. Namkum and Tatisilwai can be treated as edge-of-city endpoints, so mention them at the start and we will include the leg in the quotation rather than assuming a central Ranchi delivery.

Details to send for the Ranchi address

Joining BIT Mesra, CUJ or another Ranchi institute

Students, researchers and staff moving to Ranchi often book the bike "to Ranchi" and assume it will be handed over somewhere central. Several of the city's best-known institutions are some distance from the core of the city, so plan for the real address from the start.

A joining or admission letter tells you where to report. It does not give you permission to receive a private motorcycle at a hostel or campus gate. Before the bike leaves Gurgaon, find out where you will stay in the first weeks, whether a private bike can be parked there and who can receive it if it reaches before you. If hostel allotment is not confirmed, a rented room nearby or a trusted relative's address in Ranchi is often a more practical delivery point. We have no arrangement with any institute and do not speak for their rules; check them directly.

When you send your enquiry, include the full address with a map pin, the receiver's name and number, and your own reporting date. That lets us price the leg properly and time the delivery around your arrival.

Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Bokaro and other Jharkhand towns

Many enquiries for "Ranchi" are actually for somewhere nearby. These are separate endpoints, assessed on the exact address and the extra distance:

Do not book "Ranchi" and then ask for the bike to be taken to Jamshedpur on delivery day. It almost always costs more and takes longer than quoting the right destination in the first place.

Family handover worksheet for owners arriving separately

On this route the bike often reaches Ranchi before its owner. You may be serving notice in Gurgaon, taking the Rajdhani a week later or flying in on your joining date, and a parent, sibling or friend receives the bike. That works well when the receiver knows what to expect. Fill in this worksheet, share a copy with the receiver and keep one yourself.

Handover worksheet to complete before dispatch
Item What to record Why it helps
Authorised receiver Full name and relationship to you The bike is handed to a named person, not whoever answers the door.
Backup receiver A second person at or near the same address Saves a failed delivery if the first person is called away.
Reachable numbers Numbers that will be answered early morning and late evening too Ranchi deliveries often happen outside the truck no-entry window.
Identity and authority What the receiver will show, agreed with us in advance Settles the question at the gate instead of during an argument.
Keys Number of keys handed over in Gurgaon; where the spare is Keep one key with you; the receiver should know how many to expect.
Accessory list Mirrors, helmet, cover, charger, top box, tool kit, anything else sent The receiver ticks items off while unpacking.
Pickup photos and odometer The condition photos and odometer reading from Gurgaon Gives the receiver something to compare against.
Receiving point Exact gate, or the agreed nearby unloading point Stops the vehicle being sent to the wrong lane or the wrong side of the Ring Road.
Unpacking check Walk round the bike with the photos before signing Visible issues are best noted while the delivery person is still there.

If something looks wrong, the receiver should write it on the delivery receipt and photograph it straight away. If a mark turns up later, say under a fold of film or after the first wash, photograph it clearly and report it promptly with the pickup records. Signing the receipt is part of the handover; it does not stop you raising something you genuinely find afterwards.

If nobody can receive the bike

Say so before dispatch if there is a real chance nobody will be at home on the likely delivery days. Holding or redelivery in Ranchi depends on what can be arranged locally at the time and may cost extra. We will not promise a warehouse we cannot confirm. The better option is to agree in writing what happens if the first attempt fails, or simply move the dispatch date so the bike arrives when someone is there.

Lining up your own journey with the bike's

You can reach Ranchi in a couple of hours by air or in about a day by train. The bike follows the freight stages above. Plan backwards from the date you most need it in Ranchi.

  1. Fix your key date. Your flight or train, your joining date, or the day the family needs the bike.
  2. Work back to a release date in Gurgaon. Allow for pickup, consolidation and 4–7 working days of transit, plus a day for the final leg. Decide how many days you can manage without the bike in Gurgaon.
  3. Get dispatch confirmed. The transit estimate starts when the bike leaves, not when it is collected.
  4. Get Ranchi ready. Confirm the room or flat, a parking spot and any society or hostel rule about private vehicles.
  5. Brief the receiver. Share the worksheet and the likely delivery window, including possible early or late slots.
  6. Hold the appointment. The receiver meets the vehicle at the agreed point and runs the unpacking check.

A purely hypothetical example: you start a job in Ranchi on a Monday and fly in on the Saturday before. Handing the bike over in Gurgaon that Saturday is too late if you want it in your first week. Handing it over ten to twelve days earlier leaves room for consolidation, transit and the final leg, with a family member receiving it if it reaches first. You would need another way to get around Gurgaon for those last days. This is an illustration of the thinking, not a promised schedule.

A hypothetical quote comparison

The example below is invented to show the arithmetic. It is not a real job, quote or invoice. Imagine someone sending a Honda Activa 125 from a Sector 82 society in New Gurgaon to a family home in Harmu, with two quotes in hand.

Hypothetical comparison of two quotes for one scooter, before tax (INR)
Line item Quote A Quote B
Headline price ₹3,600 (pickup and carriage to a Ranchi depot) ₹4,700 (pickup, packing, carriage and delivery in Harmu)
Packing ₹600 extra Included
Final leg from depot to Harmu ₹700 extra Included
Basement roll-out in Gurgaon ₹300 extra Included
Transit cover, if chosen (illustrative) ₹300 ₹300
Total before applicable tax ₹5,500 ₹5,000

Quote A looks ₹1,100 cheaper on the phone, but once the missing items are added it is ₹500 dearer: ₹3,600 + ₹600 + ₹700 + ₹300 + ₹300 = ₹5,500, against ₹4,700 + ₹300 = ₹5,000. And if Quote A's depot is on the far side of the city, someone in the family still has to go and collect the scooter. Compare scope first, then the totals.

Shared carriage or a separately arranged vehicle

Most bikes on this route travel in shared carriage, along with other bikes and consignments heading east. Sharing the trip is what keeps the bands above affordable. The trade-off is time: the bike may wait for a load to build up, and it may be transferred at a hub before it reaches Ranchi.

A separately arranged vehicle for a single bike can be quoted. It costs a lot more, because you are paying for the whole trip and the driver's return. Owners usually consider it for an expensive motorcycle, a fixed personal deadline or a bike that needs special handling. Even then the city's entry timings still apply at the Ranchi end, and the timing is an estimate, not a guarantee.

Packing and handling by bike type

Packing has two jobs: protect the parts that scratch, crack or bend, and stop the bike moving inside the vehicle. Normally that means foam or bubble wrap over the tank, painted panels, headlamp and instrument cluster, stretch film to hold it, and corrugated sheet or corner pieces where straps press. Mirrors are folded or removed where the design allows and written on the accessory list.

On a transfer route like this, where the bike may be moved from a long-haul truck to a smaller vehicle near Ranchi, good packing matters more, because the bike is loaded and unloaded more than once. Even so, no honest provider can promise that a bike will arrive without a single mark. That is why the condition record and the unpacking check matter.

Preparing the bike in Gurgaon

Electric scooters

Acceptance for electric scooters is checked model by model, depending on the battery type and the carriage available at that time. Share the exact model and variant and any history of warning lights, water exposure or battery damage. Do not remove a fixed battery yourself. Follow the manufacturer's guidance and the instructions given for your booking, including on charge level. Before sending, also check that there is an authorised service centre for your brand in Ranchi if you will need one.

Documents for the transport, and Jharkhand registration

For the transport, keep copies of the registration certificate (RC), a valid insurance policy and your photo ID ready, and share them when asked. Keep the originals with you, not in the bike. If someone else is handing over in Gurgaon or receiving in Ranchi, agree in advance what they need to show; a short signed authorisation from the RC owner is often the simplest way. If the RC shows a loan, mention it at booking.

How we handle the documents and details you share is set out in our privacy policy.

Registration and road tax in Jharkhand are a separate matter

Sending a Haryana-registered bike to Ranchi does not change its registration. If you are moving to Jharkhand for the long term, the usual path is a clearance (NOC) from the original Haryana registering authority, followed by re-registration in Jharkhand, where Ranchi's registration code is JH-01. Road tax for vehicles from other states is handled through the Jharkhand transport department. The exact rules, time limits and amounts depend on your situation and the rules in force at the time, so check them on the Jharkhand transport department's portal or with the Ranchi DTO office. We do not quote a blanket rule or a tax-free period, and arranging transport does not settle these questions.

Condition records, transit cover and claims

At pickup, the bike's condition is recorded with photos of each side, close-ups of existing marks, the odometer reading and the accessory list. Keep your own copies too. These records are the starting point for any discussion if something looks different in Ranchi.

Transit cover is not automatic. It applies only if it is arranged for your shipment and a cover document is issued under stated terms, usually on the value you declare. Your own motor insurance may not cover the bike while it is carried as goods. Read what is covered, what is excluded and how a claim is made before you decide. Cover improves your position if something goes wrong, but it does not mean every mark is paid for; that depends on the terms and the evidence.

If something is wrong at delivery, write it on the receipt, photograph it and report it promptly. Keep the quotation, payment receipts, condition photos and delivery receipt together until the matter is closed. Booking, payment and cancellation terms are in your quotation and our terms and conditions.

Rail parcel, luggage van, road carrier or riding it yourself

There is more than one sensible way to get a bike from Gurgaon to Ranchi. One thing specific to this route: Ranchi-bound trains mostly start from New Delhi or Anand Vihar Terminal, not from Gurgaon. The Rajdhani services run from New Delhi, and trains such as the Jharkhand Sampark Kranti run from Anand Vihar. So a rail booking from Gurgaon usually begins with a ride across Delhi to the right parcel office. At the other end, some trains finish at Ranchi Junction and some at Hatia, which is on the south-western side of the city. You collect the bike from the station it was booked to.

Comparing the main ways to move a bike from Gurgaon to Ranchi
Option How it works Suits Check before choosing
Railway parcel You take the bike to a Delhi parcel office, it is packed and booked there, and you collect it at Ranchi or Hatia. Owners happy to handle both stations and the trips to and from them. Which station is accepting two-wheelers, parcel space on the train, empty-tank rule, packing charges, and the drive across Delhi.
Accompanied luggage The bike travels in the luggage van of the train you are on, where this is allowed. Owners on a fixed train who want the bike to arrive with them. Whether that train and station allow it, how early you must reach, and what happens if your ticket changes.
Road carrier The bike is packed at your Gurgaon address and delivered to the agreed Ranchi address or nearby point. Owners travelling separately, families receiving for the owner, addresses like Mesra or Cheri-Manatu. Written scope, how the final leg in Ranchi is done, the realistic transit window and cover terms.
Riding it yourself You ride 1,250 km or more, usually over two or three days. Experienced long-distance riders with time and a well-maintained bike. Heavy truck traffic on the GT Road corridor, fuel, tolls, overnight stays, weather, fatigue and wear on the bike.

No option is always the cheapest, fastest or safest. Rail can work well if you are comfortable doing the station work at both ends. Road transport to your door suits people who would rather have one quotation that covers Gurgaon and Ranchi.

Gurgaon to Ranchi bike transport FAQs

How much does bike transport from Gurgaon to Ranchi cost?

For one assessed bike, the planning bands are about ₹4,000–₹5,200 for a scooter, ₹4,600–₹5,600 for a commuter bike, ₹5,200–₹6,600 for a street or performance bike, ₹5,800–₹7,200 for a cruiser or tourer, ₹4,800–₹6,000 for an accepted electric scooter and ₹8,000–₹12,000 for a large or premium motorcycle. These are not a fixed tariff. The written quotation confirms packing, pickup, carriage, the final leg in Ranchi, any extra legs, special handling, GST and any transit cover you choose.

How many days does it take to send a bike from Gurgaon to Ranchi?

Plan on about 4–7 working days after the bike is confirmed as dispatched. Pickup in Gurgaon, any wait before the carrier leaves and the final delivery slot in Ranchi are separate steps, so allow time on both sides. The road distance is roughly 1,250–1,320 km, but a car's 19–21 hour drive is not a freight delivery time, and no date is guaranteed.

Can the bike be delivered to my door in Ranchi when trucks are not allowed into the city?

Usually yes, but the last leg is planned around the city's entry timings. Heavy goods vehicles are kept out of Ranchi for most of the day, so the bike may be unloaded near the Ring Road and brought in on a smaller vehicle, or delivered early in the morning or late in the evening. Ask how the final leg will be done and check that it is in the quote.

Can I send a scooty from Gurgaon to Ranchi?

Yes. Scooters such as the Activa, Jupiter or Access usually fall in the lowest band, roughly ₹4,000–₹5,200 for one assessed scooter. Side panels and mirrors need careful packing and the under-seat storage must be empty, so remove loose items and photograph existing scratches before handover.

Does a Royal Enfield cost more to transport to Ranchi?

Usually a little more than a commuter bike, because of its weight, width and the care needed to load it. Most Royal Enfield 350 models fall in the cruiser band of about ₹5,800–₹7,200. Crash guards, saddle stays, panniers or a top box change the packing and space needed, so mention them when you ask for a quote.

Can you deliver to BIT Mesra or the Central University of Jharkhand?

These can be quoted, but they are not central Ranchi deliveries. BIT Mesra is in Mesra, outside the city, and CUJ's permanent campus at Cheri-Manatu is about 17 km from the centre. An admission letter does not by itself allow a private bike to be received at a hostel or campus gate, so confirm where you will stay and who will receive the bike, then give us that address and a map pin.

Is delivery to Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Ramgarh or Hazaribagh charged the same as Ranchi?

Not automatically. These are separate endpoints, assessed on the exact address and the extra distance. Ramgarh and Hazaribagh lie on the road commonly used to reach Ranchi, but the bike still needs a planned drop-off. Jamshedpur and Bokaro are separate cities. Tell us the real destination at the start so the quote is correct.

Should I book the bike by train to Ranchi Junction or Hatia?

Choose the station nearer to where the bike is going, and check which one is accepting two-wheeler parcels for your train. Hatia is on the south-western side of the city, closer to Dhurwa and the HEC area; Ranchi Junction is more central. From Gurgaon, most Ranchi trains mean first taking the bike to a parcel office at New Delhi or Anand Vihar Terminal. Remember that railway charges cover station to station only.

Is railway bike parcel cheaper than road transport for Gurgaon to Ranchi?

The railway freight figure can look lower, but you also pay for packing at the station, the trip across Delhi to the parcel office, your time at both ends and getting the bike home from Ranchi or Hatia station. The tank must be empty and the bike may travel on a different train from you. Compare the full door-to-door cost and effort, not just the freight charge.

What documents are needed to transport a bike to Ranchi?

Keep copies of the RC, valid insurance and your photo ID ready, and share them when asked. Keep the originals with you. If someone else is handing over or receiving the bike, agree in advance what they need to show; a signed authorisation from the RC owner usually helps.

Do I need to re-register my Haryana bike in Jharkhand?

Transporting the bike does not change its registration. If you are moving to Jharkhand for the long term, NOC from the Haryana registering authority, re-registration in Jharkhand (Ranchi is JH-01) and road tax for other-state vehicles are separate from transport. Check the current rules with the Jharkhand transport department or the Ranchi DTO office; we do not give a blanket rule or a tax-free period.

Do you transport electric scooters to Ranchi?

Electric scooters are assessed model by model, because acceptance depends on the battery type and the carriage available. Where a model is accepted, the planning band is about ₹4,800–₹6,000. Do not remove the battery yourself; follow the manufacturer's guidance and the instructions for your booking, and list the charger with the accessories.

Is transit insurance included in the price?

Not automatically. Transit cover applies only if it is arranged and issued under stated terms, usually on the value you declare. Ask for the terms in writing, keep your receipts and condition photos, and remember that cover does not mean an automatic payout for every mark.

Is it safe to send a bike to Ranchi in the monsoon?

Yes, with some extra care. Packing film is not waterproof, so the bike should be wrapped dry and the electricals and seat well covered. At delivery, unwrap and inspect the bike under a porch or other cover, not in the rain, and note anything wrong before signing.

What happens if nobody is at home in Ranchi when the bike arrives?

Name a receiver and a backup before dispatch, and make sure they can take calls outside office hours. If nobody can receive at the agreed time, holding or redelivery depends on what can be arranged locally and may cost extra. Settle this in writing before dispatch rather than on delivery day.
