Terms and Conditions – BikeShift Gurgaon
Last updated:
These terms explain how bike and scooter transport enquiries and bookings work with BikeShift Gurgaon (biketransportgurgaon.com). They set out what the vehicle owner or authorised person, the receiver at the destination and the service parties each need to agree on and do, from the first quote to handover, changes, delivery and complaints. They are written in plain language so you can read them before you pay anything.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean BikeShift Gurgaon. "You" means the vehicle owner or the person the owner has authorised to arrange the move. "Service parties" means us and any carrier, packing team or cover provider named in your booking documents.
1. Scope of these terms
What these terms cover
These are general website, enquiry and service guidelines for two-wheeler transport arranged from Gurgaon (Gurugram). They apply alongside the specific documents issued for your move: your written quote or booking confirmation, any consignment note or receipt, the invoice and, if you choose transit cover, the cover document itself. Where a document issued for your booking says something different, that document applies to your booking. Either way, both are subject to any law that cannot be set aside by agreement.
An enquiry is not a booking
Filling in the quote form, calling, emailing or sending a WhatsApp message is an enquiry. It does not create a booking, reserve a pickup slot or commit you or us to anything. A booking exists only when the services, dates, vehicle model, access arrangements, price, any chosen cover and payment terms have been confirmed for your move and you have accepted them.
Who you are dealing with
Your booking confirmation, invoice and any consignment note should name the business that is contracting with you, invoicing you and carrying the vehicle, and what each is responsible for. If a document does not make this clear, ask us before you pay or hand over the vehicle. This page does not describe any company registration, depot, owned fleet, carrier licence, association approval or certification, and nothing on it should be read as claiming one. We do not claim IBA approval.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that applies in India. If any part of these terms conflicts with such a law, the law prevails and the rest of these terms continue to apply.
2. What to confirm before you book
Most disagreements start with something that was assumed rather than agreed. Before you accept a quote, check that each point below has been confirmed in writing for your move.
| Point | What should be confirmed | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle | Exact make, model and variant; petrol or electric; running or non-running; existing damage; fitted accessories such as crash guards, top boxes or mounts | Packing, loading method and price depend on the exact vehicle |
| Collection point | Full address, the agreed handover spot and any society, office or basement access rules | Access affects the team, equipment and time needed |
| Destination and receiver | Delivery address or agreed collection point, and the name and phone number of the person authorised to receive the vehicle | The vehicle should be handed over only to the named receiver |
| Services included | Which of packing, collection, carriage, local delivery legs and unpacking are included, and which are not | Avoids gaps between what you expect and what is booked |
| Carriage arrangement | Whether the vehicle travels on a shared or direct vehicle, and any planned transfer between vehicles or locations | Helps you understand timing and handling points |
| Price | Quoted total, applicable tax, any cover you have chosen and any special work already assessed | You should know the full price before you agree or pay |
| Dates | Collection date, estimated dispatch and the delivery estimate or appointment, each stated separately | Collection, dispatch and delivery are different events |
| Payment | Amount, when it is due, who receives it and the payee details | Protects you from paying the wrong party |
| Changes and cancellation | How rescheduling, cancellation, refunds, holding and storage work for this booking | You should know the conditions before you commit |
Prices, distances and transit times shown on our website and route guides are planning information, not fixed promises for your move. The confirmed figures are the ones in your booking documents.
3. Owner authority and documents
Accurate details and authority to book
You confirm that the vehicle details you give are accurate and that you are the registered owner or have the owner's authority to arrange the move. If the vehicle is financed, under hypothecation or registered to someone else, tell us when you enquire so the right paperwork can be arranged.
Documents for the move
The carrier may need copies of the registration certificate (RC), a valid motor insurance policy and identity proof of the person handing over or receiving the vehicle. Share copies only and keep the originals with you. We ask only for the documents needed to arrange and carry out the move, and we handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. Where an ID copy is needed, you may mask any numbers that are not required, such as most digits of an Aadhaar number. Never post ID or payment details publicly, including in reviews or social media comments.
Receiver at the destination
Tell us who will receive the vehicle. The receiver may be asked to show identity proof that matches the booking. If the receiver changes, let us know in writing in advance so the change can be confirmed.
Registration, NOC and road tax are separate
Transporting a vehicle is separate from its registration, NOC and road tax. What you need depends on the states involved, how long the vehicle will stay in the new state and whether a lender has an interest in it. No single tax-free or NOC-free period applies to everyone. If you are moving for a long stay, check the current requirements with the relevant RTO and, if applicable, your lender. We can share general information, but registration decisions are yours to make with the authorities.
4. Collection, access and preparing the vehicle
Access to the collection point
Collection takes place at a lawful, accessible spot, usually the gate or a ground-level point, or at another point agreed in advance. Basements, gated societies, office campuses and parking areas with entry rules need to be discussed and assessed before booking, and you are responsible for arranging any permission the premises require. If the team cannot reach the vehicle safely on the day, we will discuss options with you rather than proceed unsafely.
Packing and loading
The packing material and loading method are agreed for your exact vehicle. Not every model, size or condition can be accepted automatically. Larger bikes, modified vehicles and non-standard accessories may need to be assessed first.
Fuel
Keep the fuel level low, as instructed by the booked carrier when your booking is confirmed. Do not drain fuel yourself, and do not place fuel in bottles or containers anywhere on or in the vehicle.
Electric bikes and scooters
Electric vehicles are handled according to the manufacturer's guidance and the carrier's requirements, which you will be told when booking. Do not remove the battery yourself or make electrical changes for the move. Tell us in advance about any warning light, swelling, leak, damage or fault affecting the battery.
Vehicles that need assessment
You must disclose before booking if the vehicle has a fluid leak, a damaged or faulty battery or flat tyres, or if it cannot roll or steer. Such vehicles may need special handling or a revised quote, or may not be accepted for carriage.
Items left with the vehicle
Helmets, covers, keys and loose accessories that travel with the vehicle must be recorded separately at handover. Do not leave cash, jewellery, electronics, original documents or other valuables in storage compartments, and do not include hazardous, flammable or undeclared items. If you are unsure whether something can travel with the vehicle, ask before collection.
5. Condition record, handover and transit timing
Condition record at collection
At handover, a record should be made of the vehicle's visible condition: existing marks, fitted and loose accessories, the number of keys, the odometer reading and the fuel or charge indication, with photographs where possible. Where a joint check is arranged, take part and make sure the record matches what you see. Keep your own copy of the record or receipt, and your own photographs. Signing the record confirms what was noted; it does not waive any of your rights.
Use of the vehicle during the move
The vehicle should be moved only as much as is needed for loading, unloading and short handling. No one can honestly promise that a vehicle cannot be damaged or that its odometer cannot change. Compare the readings at delivery and raise any unexplained difference promptly.
Collection, dispatch and delivery are different steps
Collecting the vehicle does not mean it has been dispatched, and dispatch does not mean delivery. Routes, permitted vehicles and transfer points vary by booking. Timings are estimates based on the planned dispatch and the delivery appointment, not fixed diary slots. If the plan changes, we will share revised information as soon as it is known, and you can contact us at any time for an update. Events genuinely outside anyone's reasonable control can affect timing. This does not remove any responsibility that the law or your booking places on the service parties.
6. Payments, changes, cancellation and storage
Payments
Pay only after you have the agreed quote and know who is receiving the payment. If anything differs from what you expected, especially a payment request from an unfamiliar number, confirm the payee name and details by calling +91-78278-00757 or emailing [email protected]. Ask for a receipt for every payment. The amount, timing and accepted payment methods for your booking are those stated in your confirmation.
Changes to your booking
If the addresses, vehicle, dates, access arrangements or services change, the change must be assessed and accepted before it applies. Any extra work or charge must be explained to you and agreed before it is carried out. Nothing is added automatically.
Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds
The cancellation, rescheduling and refund conditions for your move should be shown to you before you book. To cancel or reschedule, contact us as early as possible, in writing where you can, and quote your booking reference. You will receive a written outcome. Any deduction should be limited to reasonable costs actually incurred, and applied only where it is lawful and was disclosed and agreed. No refund is ruled out in advance.
Holding, storage and redelivery
If the vehicle cannot be delivered as planned, or you ask for it to be held, holding, storage or redelivery depends on availability. Whether a fee applies, how much it is and when it starts must be confirmed to you in writing before it applies. No free storage period should be assumed. These website terms do not give anyone a right to sell, auction or dispose of your vehicle.
7. Delivery, inspection, damage and transit cover
At delivery
The vehicle is handed over to you or the named receiver at the agreed address or point. Before signing, inspect the vehicle against the collection record where possible, take photographs, and note any visible damage, missing items or odometer difference on the delivery receipt. Signing a delivery receipt does not waive the rights you have under applicable law.
Damage noticed later
Some damage only becomes apparent after handover. If this happens, contact us promptly, take photographs, keep the packing material if practical, and keep your receipts and records. Notice periods in an issued cover document and under applicable law will apply. A short window printed on a form does not by itself remove your rights.
Transit cover
Transit cover is not automatic. If you choose it and a cover document is issued, it is separate from the carrier's own responsibility and from your vehicle's motor insurance policy. The value you declare helps set the cover, but it is not a promise of the amount payable. Any claim is decided under the issued document by the party that issued it. Ask for the document and read what it covers and excludes before dispatch. Whether or not you choose cover, any other remedies available to you under law remain.
| Situation | What to do | What to keep |
|---|---|---|
| Visible damage at delivery | Note it on the delivery receipt, photograph it and tell us, before the delivery person leaves if possible | Delivery receipt, collection record, photographs |
| Damage found after delivery | Contact us promptly by phone or email with the details | Photographs, packing material if practical, receipts |
| Missing key or accessory | Check against the collection record and report it straight away | Collection record, accessory list |
| Delay or change of plan | Ask for revised information and note what you were told and when | Booking confirmation, messages, dates |
8. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, or you are unhappy with any part of the service, contact us:
- Phone: +91-78278-00757
- Email: [email protected]
To help us look into it, include your booking reference, payment receipts, the collection and delivery records, photographs, the relevant dates and the resolution you are asking for. Share only the personal information that is needed; you can mask ID numbers, and you will never need to send passwords, OTPs or card PINs. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it with the relevant service party where needed, and give you a written response.
If the matter is not resolved, you can approach the National Consumer Helpline or a consumer commission with jurisdiction under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes can be raised before the courts, consumer commissions or other forums that have jurisdiction under applicable law. These terms do not require you to use arbitration or any particular court, and they do not reduce the consumer remedies or choice of forum the law gives you.
10. Updates and use of website content
We may revise these terms from time to time. A revised version applies from its publication date to future enquiries and bookings. It does not change the conditions already confirmed for an existing booking. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version.

Frequently asked questions
Does submitting the quote form mean my bike is booked?
No. A quote form, call, email or WhatsApp message is an enquiry only. Your move is booked only when the services, dates, vehicle model, access arrangements, price, any chosen cover and payment terms have been confirmed for your move and you have accepted them. Until then, no pickup slot is reserved and you are not committed to anything.
Which documents should I share for bike transport?
The carrier may need copies of the registration certificate, a valid motor insurance policy and identity proof of the person handing over or receiving the vehicle. Share copies only and keep the originals with you. You may mask ID numbers that are not needed. Registration, NOC and road tax are separate from transport, so if the vehicle will stay in another state for a long period, check the current requirements with the relevant RTO and any lender.
How should I prepare my bike or scooter before collection?
Keep the fuel level low as the booked carrier instructs, but do not drain fuel yourself or carry fuel in bottles. For an electric vehicle, follow the manufacturer and carrier guidance and do not remove the battery yourself. Disclose any leak, battery problem or non-rolling condition before booking. Remove cash, valuables and original documents, and list any helmet or loose accessory that will travel with the vehicle.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. Contact us as early as possible, in writing where you can, with your booking reference. Changes to addresses, dates, vehicle or services must be assessed and accepted before they apply, and any extra charge must be agreed with you first. Cancellation and refund conditions should be shown to you before you book, and any deduction should be limited to reasonable costs actually incurred, as lawful and agreed. You will receive a written outcome.
What happens if my vehicle is damaged, and is transit cover included?
Note visible damage on the delivery receipt, take photographs and contact us promptly; do the same for damage noticed after delivery. Keep your receipts and records. Transit cover is not automatic. If you choose it and a document is issued, it is separate from the carrier's responsibility and your motor insurance, and claims are decided under that document. Signing a delivery receipt does not waive your legal rights.
How do I raise a complaint with BikeShift Gurgaon?
Call +91-78278-00757 or email [email protected] with your booking reference, receipts, condition records, photographs, the relevant dates and the resolution you want. Share only the personal information needed. We will acknowledge your complaint and give you a written response. If it is not resolved, you can approach the National Consumer Helpline or a consumer commission with jurisdiction.
