Bike Transport Gurgaon to Jaipur
Gurugram to Jaipur is a short highway trip for you, but a two-stage job for your bike. Someone has to release it in Gurgaon, whether from a society basement, an office parking or a PG. Someone else has to receive it at a Jaipur address that a delivery vehicle can actually reach. BikeShift Gurgaon arranges bike and scooter transport on this route. Each quote is assessed from your exact model, both addresses and the dates when you can really hand over and receive.
This page covers four things:
- Planning rates for six types of two-wheeler, and what a written quote should list.
- How shared road transport compares with a dedicated vehicle, riding yourself and railway parcel.
- How to prepare a scooty, a Royal Enfield, an EV or a non-running bike.
- The receiving situations that usually decide whether door delivery goes smoothly: inner-city homes, walled-city lanes, outer campuses such as Manipal University Jaipur, and employer gates in industrial zones.
- Road distance: roughly 250–275 km city to city, depending on your exact endpoints and the corridor the carrier uses.
- Planning transit: about 1–2 working days after the dispatch date we confirm. Collection and the delivery appointment are agreed separately.
- Planning rates: ₹2,200 to ₹9,500 for one bike, depending on category and scope, with an itemised written quote.
- Collection: homes, societies, PGs and offices across Gurgaon and Gurugram, wherever the bike can be released by its owner or an authorised person.
Plan your Gurgaon to Jaipur bike move
Share your model, pickup and delivery areas and preferred date. Confirm the available arrangements and itemised scope before booking.
Gurgaon to Jaipur Route and Realistic Timing
There is more than one sensible road between the two cities. When we checked Google Maps, it offered three driving options:
- About 253 km via NH48.
- About 271 km via the NE4 expressway.
- About 270 km using NE4 and NH21.
Your own distance will differ. A pickup in Sector 82 is not a pickup in DLF Phase 1, and a delivery in Jagatpura is not a delivery near the Ajmer Road side of the city. A carrier also chooses a corridor that suits its vehicle and other consignments, so no single fixed road applies to every booking.
The 4–5 hours a car takes is not a freight timeline. A shared vehicle collects several bikes, loads and secures each one, moves to Jaipur and then completes local deliveries in a sequence. That is why we plan around confirmed dispatch rather than the hour you hand over the keys.
| Stage | What happens | How to plan for it |
|---|---|---|
| Assessment and quote | You share the model, photos, the pickup point, the Jaipur address and your dates. We assess the category and scope. | The sooner the details are complete, the sooner a firm quote and date can be given. |
| Collection in Gurgaon | The bike is inspected, recorded, packed and collected at the agreed slot. | Collection can happen before dispatch, so plan for the bike being away from that day. |
| Consolidation and dispatch | On shared transport, the bike waits for the confirmed outbound vehicle. | Ask for the confirmed dispatch date in writing, not an estimate such as "probably tomorrow". |
| Road transit | The bike travels to Jaipur with other consignments. | Allow about 1–2 working days after the confirmed dispatch. |
| Jaipur delivery | The bike is unloaded, unpacked and handed over to you or your authorised receiver. | This is a separate appointment. Someone has to be present at an address the vehicle can reach. |
| Faster direct movement | A dedicated or same-day vehicle may be possible for some bookings. | It is assessed and priced separately, and confirmed only when a vehicle is actually arranged. |
Gurgaon to Jaipur Bike Transport Charges
The ranges below are planning figures for moving one bike between pickup and delivery points we have accepted for the booking. They help you budget, but they are not a final price.
The category depends more on the bike's dimensions, weight, fitted accessories, condition and exact model than on engine capacity alone. A 125cc commuter with crash bars and a large top box can need more space and packing than a bare 160cc bike. Two 350cc motorcycles can also sit at different ends of a band.
| Category | Typical examples | Planning range | What usually moves the quote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scooter or small bike | Activa, Jupiter, Access and similar scooters; light 100–110cc commuters | ₹2,200–₹2,800 | Fitted guards or top box, under-seat items, basement versus ground-level release |
| Street or commuter bike | 125–160cc commuters and street bikes such as a Shine, Pulsar 150 or Apache RTR 160 | ₹2,800–₹3,500 | Length, aftermarket parts, condition, access at both ends |
| Cruiser or tourer | Royal Enfield Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Jawa and similar | ₹3,400–₹4,200 | Weight, exhaust and engine protection, panniers, touring screens |
| Sports or faired bike | Yamaha R15, KTM RC series and other full-fairing bikes | ₹3,800–₹4,800 | Fairing panels, clip-on bars, mirrors, low clearance on ramps |
| EV (exact model accepted) | Accepted variants of Ather, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola and similar | ₹2,800–₹3,600 | Model acceptance, battery type, manufacturer handling requirements, charger |
| Large or premium motorcycle | 650cc twins, large adventure bikes, imported or high-value motorcycles | ₹6,500–₹9,500 | Dimensions, weight, luggage systems, declared value, dedicated-vehicle assessment |
What Your Written Quote Should Itemise
Nothing should be assumed to be "automatically included". Ask for each part of the job as a line or a clearly stated inclusion, so you can compare quotes properly:
- Gurgaon local leg: collection from the exact society, basement, office or PG, including any special access work.
- Packing and handling: the materials and protection used for your model and its accessories.
- Transport and unloading: the road movement to Jaipur, and unloading at the agreed point.
- Jaipur local leg: delivery to the exact address or the agreed handover point, not a vague city name.
- Applicable tax: shown as it applies to your accepted booking.
- Transit cover: whether you have chosen it, the declared value and the premium, as shown in the issued document.
- Assessed special work: for example a non-running bike, a dedicated vehicle, extra accessory protection or a holding and redelivery arrangement.
Payment stages, cancellation terms and any holding charges are part of the accepted booking. Read them before you confirm. Our terms and conditions explain how bookings work.
A Hypothetical Worked Budget
This example is illustrative only. It is not a past invoice and not a fixed price list. Imagine a Royal Enfield Classic 350 with a factory crash guard and an aftermarket top box. It is collected from a Gurgaon society basement and delivered to a ground-floor home in Vaishali Nagar where a vehicle can stop at the gate.
| Line | Hypothetical amount |
|---|---|
| Basement collection, standard packing, shared road transport, unloading and doorstep handover (cruiser band) | ₹3,600 |
| Extra protection for the top box and crash guard | ₹300 |
| Subtotal before tax and cover | ₹3,900 |
| Applicable tax | As shown on the accepted quote |
| Optional transit cover | Premium as per the issued cover and declared value |
Here the subtotal of ₹3,900 sits inside the ₹3,400–₹4,200 cruiser band. Adding tax and cover would raise the final figure, so ask for the complete payable amount in writing before you confirm.
If the same bike needed a dedicated vehicle, a walled-city handover arrangement or a second delivery attempt, those would be separate assessed lines. A quote that shows one round number with no scope is hard to compare and harder to rely on.
Shared Road, Dedicated Vehicle, Riding Yourself or Railway
On a 250–275 km route, several options are reasonable. The right one depends on how much handling you want to do yourself, how fixed your dates are and what kind of bike you own.
| Option | Collection and delivery | Timing | What you handle | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shared road transport | From your Gurgaon address to your Jaipur address or an agreed handover point | About 1–2 working days after confirmed dispatch | Access, documents, a receiver and condition checks | Most relocations, students and families who want door delivery at a planned cost |
| Dedicated or direct vehicle | Door to door, without waiting for a shared load | Faster when a vehicle is confirmed, possibly the same day | The same as shared transport, plus confirming the vehicle and timing | Premium bikes, tight joining dates or special handling; costs more and is assessed separately |
| Riding it yourself | You ride from Gurgaon to Jaipur | A day's ride, plus your own return or onward plans | Fuel, food, the bike's condition, riding gear, weather, fatigue, documents and your luggage | Experienced riders with a roadworthy bike and a free day |
| Railway parcel or luggage | Station to station; you take the bike to the station and collect it in Jaipur | Depends on the train and the booking | Booking, packing to railway requirements, the station visit at both ends, and fuel rules | People near the right stations who are comfortable doing the formalities themselves |
Railway parcel booking and accompanied luggage are different arrangements with different rules. Acceptance depends on the station, the train and the vehicle, and official railway guidance requires an empty petrol tank. Check the current rules for your exact station, train and model before choosing rail. This matters most for an electric scooter.
Riding yourself avoids a transport bill but not every cost. Add fuel, food, any overnight stay and your own travel to wherever your luggage is going. Weigh that against a day spent on the highway in the week you are also moving house.
Releasing the Bike in Gurgaon
Most collection delays on short routes start at the pickup point, not on the highway. Before the collection day, run through these checks for your building.
Society and Basement Parking
- Which gate: tell us the exact gate or tower entry the vehicle should use. Register the visit on the society's visitor app or with the security desk, if your society uses one.
- Ramp and height: if your bike is in a deep basement, say so. A delivery vehicle may not be able to go down, so the bike may need to be ridden or wheeled up to a surface point.
- Can it roll, steer and brake: a bike with a flat tyre, seized brake or missing key cannot simply be wheeled out. Mention this at enquiry so the right help is planned.
- Who releases it: if you will not be present, give the handover person a signed authorisation and copies of your ID and the RC. Inform your security desk too.
Office Parking and Company Bikes
Collection from office parking in Cyber City, Udyog Vihar or Golf Course Road is possible when the building allows a personal vehicle to leave with someone else. Check whether a gate or exit pass is needed, and who issues it.
If the bike belongs to your employer rather than you, written company authorisation is needed. That applies to a field bike or a pool scooter, for example.
PG and Rented Rooms
If you are leaving a PG, keep the bike's keys and documents with you, not in a room you are handing back. Tell the owner the date and time of collection, so nobody stops the team at the gate.
Who Will Receive the Bike in Jaipur?
"Jaipur" is not a delivery address. The questions that decide a smooth handover are simple. Can a vehicle reach the gate? Will an authorised person be there? Can the bike be parked once it arrives? The table sets out the common situations, and the notes below it go into more detail.
| Destination type | Question to settle before dispatch | Effect on scope and timing | Practical fallback |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inner Jaipur home or society | Is the address final, can the vehicle stop at the gate, and who receives? | Usually standard door delivery within an agreed window | A neighbour or colleague authorised in writing |
| Walled-city lane | Where is the nearest point a vehicle can lawfully stop at that time of day? | May need a handover at a wider road or a time-specific appointment | Receive on the nearest wider road and ride or wheel the bike home |
| Outer campus hostel (for example Manipal University Jaipur) | Where on campus can a personal two-wheeler be received and parked, and will you be there? | The outer location and gate rules affect the local leg and the appointment | Deliver to an off-campus PG with the owner's permission, or to a named friend |
| SEZ or industrial employer gate | Will the unit's security accept a personal vehicle delivery, and who is the named receiver? | Needs a gate pass and a receiver who can come out during working hours | Deliver to your rental home on a day you are off |
Inner Jaipur Homes and Neighbourhoods
Deliveries to areas such as Vaishali Nagar, Mansarovar, Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura, C-Scheme or Raja Park are usually the simplest, provided three things are in place:
- The address is final, not a flat you are still negotiating.
- The receiver's phone is reachable.
- Any society entry formalities are arranged.
If you are staying in temporary accommodation for the first week, decide which address the bike should go to. Moving it a second time inside Jaipur is your own job once it has been handed over.
Walled-City and Old-Market Lanes
Some streets in the old Pink City are narrow, busy with market traffic or hard for a delivery vehicle to stop in. Arrangements can also differ by time of day.
We do not assume a lane is always open or always closed. Share the full address and a landmark, and tell us the nearest wider road where you would be comfortable receiving the bike. We check current access for the delivery day before confirming the plan. The quote and appointment will reflect the agreed handover point.
Manipal University Jaipur and Other Outer Campuses
Manipal University Jaipur lists its address as Dehmi Kalan, off the Jaipur–Ajmer Expressway, Rajasthan 303007. That is well outside inner Jaipur. A university name alone is not enough for a delivery.
Check with your hostel office where a personal two-wheeler can be handed over and whether you need parking permission. Be sure you will actually be on campus that day, not still travelling with your parents. If you have a room in an off-campus PG, give that address and confirm the owner is fine with the bike.
The same questions apply to any other college campus. BikeShift Gurgaon is not affiliated with any university.
Mahindra World City, SEZ and Industrial Units
If you are joining a company in Mahindra World City, Sitapura or another industrial area, it is tempting to give the office as the delivery address. Before you do, ask your admin or security team whether the unit accepts personal vehicle deliveries at its gate. Also ask who can sign for the bike, and whether a pass is required.
Do not assume every guard will accept a bike on your behalf. Very often the better choice is your rental home, on a day or evening when you are there.
Short-Route Planning Worksheet
A short highway journey can still miss both appointments, the collection in Gurgaon and the handover in Jaipur, if the people and access are not lined up. Go through this list before you confirm the booking.
| Item | What to confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Gurgaon access and availability | Gate, parking level, whether the bike rolls and brakes, and who is releasing it | Collection cannot happen if the bike is locked in, cannot be moved or nobody is present |
| Confirmed shared dispatch | The actual outbound date, in writing | The delivery window is planned from dispatch, not from collection |
| Jaipur exact address and gate | Full address, landmark, gate or tower, and where a vehicle can stop | This decides the local leg and whether a door handover is realistic |
| Room, hostel or PG permission | Keys, the owner's or hostel's consent, and a parking spot | A bike delivered to a locked room or a refusing gate has nowhere to go |
| Authorised receiving person | Name, phone, ID copy and your signed authorisation | Handover is made only to you or someone you have authorised |
| Owner's travel date | When you reach Jaipur, compared with the planned delivery window | If the bike can arrive before you do, a receiver or holding plan is needed |
| Fallback if nobody can receive | An alternate person, or written holding and redelivery terms | This avoids last-minute arguments about where the bike waits and at what cost |
If Nobody Can Receive on the Delivery Day
Agree the fallback before dispatch, not on the phone when the vehicle is already outside. There are two workable choices.
An alternate authorised person. This could be a flatmate, colleague or relative in Jaipur. You provide their name, phone number and an ID copy, plus your signed authorisation. Tell them what to check at delivery and give them a copy of the condition record.
An arranged holding and redelivery. If nobody is available, get these points in writing:
- Where the bike will be held.
- For how long.
- What it costs, if anything.
- Whether any cover continues while it is held.
- How the redelivery date will be fixed.
Without these points agreed, a missed appointment becomes an argument about who pays and where the bike sits.
How Different Bikes Are Packed and Handled
Packing is chosen for the bike in front of the team, not from a fixed number of layers. Typical materials include:
- Foam or bubble sheet on painted and plated surfaces.
- Corrugated protection on levers, mirrors and exposed edges.
- Stretch film to hold everything in place.
Wooden crating or a frame is used only when it has been assessed and agreed.
Scooters and Scooty Parcel from Gurugram
Scooters are compact and quick to pack. The main checks are the front apron, mirrors, the floorboard and anything fitted at the back, such as a carrier or top box. Empty the under-seat storage, because helmets, chargers and bags are not packed inside the boot unless agreed.
Most student and family moves on this route are scooters. The bike itself is simple; the real question is usually who receives it at the hostel or new home.
Street and Commuter Bikes
For 125–160cc bikes, protection focuses on:
- The tank and side panels.
- The headlamp and indicators.
- The levers, footpegs and mirrors.
Aftermarket parts such as phone mounts, extra lights or tail tidies should be removed if they are loose, or listed if they stay fitted.
Royal Enfield, Cruisers and Tourers
Royal Enfield transport needs attention to weight and to the parts that stick out:
- The exhaust and the engine edges.
- Crash guards, footpegs and mirrors.
- Touring accessories such as screens, racks and panniers.
Loading needs enough hands to control a heavy bike on a ramp. List touring accessories separately in the condition record. If panniers come off easily, decide whether they travel with the bike or with your luggage.
Sports and Faired Bikes
Fairing panels, clip-on handlebars, screens and mirrors are the vulnerable points. Straps are routed to avoid pressing on painted panels.
Low ground clearance can make a steep basement ramp awkward, so mention it at enquiry. Note any existing scuffs on the fairing in the condition photos.
Large and Premium Motorcycles
A 650cc twin, a large adventure bike or an imported motorcycle is assessed on dimensions, weight, luggage systems and declared value. Many owners in this category prefer a dedicated vehicle, which is quoted separately.
Be clear about the value you declare for cover. It affects both the premium and any claim.
Electric Scooters and Non-Running Bikes
EV Transport: How the Decision Is Made
Electric two-wheelers are accepted model by model, not as a general category. To assess yours, share:
- The exact make, model and variant.
- Whether the battery is fixed or removable.
- Its condition, including any warning lights or past battery service.
Handling then follows what the manufacturer and the carrier require for that model, carried out by people authorised to handle it.
We do not give one charge level, switch-off routine or battery removal instruction for every EV, because these differ between models. Pack the portable charger and its cable separately and list them in the condition record. If your EV is still under warranty, check whether the manufacturer has any guidance on transport.
Non-Running, Damaged or Long-Parked Bikes
A bike that has not run in months, has a flat tyre, a seized brake or a missing key needs an honest description before booking. Tell us:
- Whether it rolls freely.
- Whether the handlebar turns.
- Whether the brakes hold.
- Whether any panels or parts are loose or missing.
Extra people or equipment may be needed at both ends, and that is quoted as assessed special work. Photos of the bike and of where it is parked help us give a realistic scope. Loose parts should be bagged, labelled and listed, not left rattling on the frame.
Preparing Your Bike Before Collection
- Fuel: follow the instruction given for your booking. Do not drain fuel yourself with improvised tools, and never send petrol in bottles, cans or the storage box.
- Loose items: remove helmets, bags, phone mounts, bungee cords and anything that can fall off. Bolted factory accessories can usually stay, but list them.
- Condition evidence: take clear photos or a short video of all sides, close-ups of existing scratches, and the odometer reading. This is your own record alongside the one made at collection.
- Keys: note how many keys you are handing over. Keep the spare with you unless you have been asked for it.
- Accessories list: mirrors, guards, screens, racks, the EV charger, the toolkit. Anything you expect back should be on the record.
- Tyres and stand: reasonably inflated tyres and a working side and main stand make loading safer and quicker.
- Alarms and immobilisers: tell the team if an aftermarket alarm is fitted and how to avoid triggering it during handling.
Paperwork for Gurgaon to Jaipur Bike Transport
For the transport itself, keep copies ready of:
- The registration certificate (RC).
- Current insurance.
- The owner's ID.
- A PUC certificate, where applicable.
If someone else hands over or receives the bike, add a signed authorisation and that person's ID. A company-owned bike needs written permission from the company. Keep the originals with you, because you will need them when you start riding in Jaipur.
Transport Is Not the Same as Re-Registration
Moving a Haryana-registered bike to Jaipur for transport is one thing. Using it in Rajasthan for a long period is another. Whether and when you need re-registration, a road tax payment, a no-objection certificate from the Haryana registering authority, or an NOC from a financier depends on your situation. That includes how long you will keep the bike in Rajasthan, who owns it, and whether there is a loan on it.
Check the current requirements with the Rajasthan transport department or your registering authority, rather than relying on a general rule from a transport page. The same applies to any bike still under hypothecation.
How Booking Works with BikeShift Gurgaon
- Share the details. Send the exact model, photos, the Gurgaon pickup point and parking level, the Jaipur address and gate, your preferred dates and the receiver's details. Our privacy policy explains how we use them.
- Assessment and itemised quote. We confirm the category, the scope of both local legs, packing, transport and unloading, applicable tax, any cover you choose and any special work.
- Confirm the booking terms. Payment stages, cancellation and any holding or redelivery terms are set out for your accepted booking. Read them before confirming.
- Collection and condition record. At pickup, the bike's condition, odometer reading, keys and accessories are recorded with you or your authorised person. Keep your copy of the consignment record.
- Dispatch confirmation. You are told the confirmed dispatch date and the expected delivery window.
- Delivery appointment. We contact the receiver to fix the handover time at the agreed address or point.
- Inspection and handover. The bike is unpacked and checked against the condition record before the delivery document is signed.
To start, use the quote form or the contact page.
Transit Cover, Delivery Inspection and Reporting Damage
Transit cover is only as good as the document actually issued. Before dispatch, check four things:
- Which stages it covers: collection, transit, any holding period and delivery.
- The declared value.
- The premium.
- The exclusions.
Cover is not a promise of payment. Any claim is assessed under the terms of that document.
At delivery, inspect the bike before you sign. Look at the tank, panels, mirrors, levers, lights, footpegs, exhaust and wheels. Check that the odometer roughly matches the record, and confirm the keys and accessories are all there. If you see anything new, photograph it and write it on the delivery document before signing.
Some marks only show after you clean the bike or ride it, such as a bent lever or a scuffed underside. Report anything found later in writing as soon as possible, with photos and your consignment details.
Choosing BikeShift or Any Bike Transport Provider
Star ratings and big promises are easy to put on a website. Records are harder to fake. Whoever you book with, compare these:
- A named contact who answers questions about your specific bike and addresses.
- A written, itemised quote that states both local legs, tax and cover.
- A consignment record and a condition record made at collection, with a copy for you.
- A clear cover document if you choose cover, with stages, value and exclusions.
- A confirmed dispatch date and a separately agreed delivery appointment.
- A stated process for reporting a problem.

Bought a used bike in Gurgaon? Agree the seller handover first
If the seller or dealer will release the bike for Jaipur, tell the booking contact that you are the buyer and that someone else will hand it over. Confirm the accepted ownership, sale and authorisation documents before arranging collection. Do not send identity documents with a first price enquiry.
- Inspect the bike with the seller before packing, or arrange a person you trust to do it. Record existing marks, the odometer, keys and accepted accessories.
- Make sure the buyer, sender and Jaipur receiver are identified correctly on the booking record.
- Keep sale/ownership-transfer papers separate from the transport receipt. Moving the bike does not complete its ownership transfer or any registration formalities.
Gurgaon to Jaipur Bike Transport FAQs
What are bike transport charges from Gurgaon to Jaipur?
For one bike, our planning ranges are ₹2,200–₹2,800 for a scooter or small bike, ₹2,800–₹3,500 for a street or commuter bike, ₹3,400–₹4,200 for a cruiser or tourer, ₹3,800–₹4,800 for a sports or faired bike, ₹2,800–₹3,600 for an accepted EV model and ₹6,500–₹9,500 for a large or premium motorcycle. The final figure depends on the exact model, dimensions, accessories, condition and both addresses. Your written quote should list both local legs, packing and handling, transport and unloading, any applicable tax, any cover you choose and any special work.
How long does bike transport from Gurgaon to Jaipur take?
Plan for about 1–2 working days after the dispatch date we confirm to you. Collection can happen before that, and the Jaipur delivery is a separate appointment with the person receiving the bike. The 4–5 hour car journey is not a freight timeline, because a shared vehicle also loads, unloads and makes other deliveries. If you need a faster direct or same-day movement, ask for it to be assessed and confirmed in writing rather than assuming it.
Can I send a scooty from Gurugram to Jaipur?
Yes. Scooters such as an Activa, Jupiter or Access usually fall in the scooter and small bike band of ₹2,200–₹2,800, though the exact model, fitted accessories and both addresses decide the quote. Empty the under-seat storage, remove loose items and share the Jaipur address, gate details and the receiver's name. Students moving to a hostel should check where on campus a scooter can be handed over and parked before booking.
How is a Royal Enfield transported to Jaipur?
A Royal Enfield is assessed by its exact model, weight and fitted parts. A Classic 350, Hunter 350 or Meteor 350 usually sits in the cruiser and tourer band, while a 650 twin or a bike with panniers and large crash guards may move towards the premium band. The exhaust, engine edges, mirrors, levers and any touring accessories get extra protection, and loading needs enough people to handle the weight safely. Note fitted accessories in the condition record before collection.
Do you transport electric scooters from Gurgaon to Jaipur?
Electric scooters are accepted model by model. Share the exact make, model, variant and battery type, and whether the battery is fixed or removable. Handling follows what the manufacturer and the carrier require for that model, so we do not give one battery charge level or switch-off routine for every EV. Pack the portable charger separately and list it in the condition record. The planning range for an accepted EV is ₹2,800–₹3,600.
Is road transport or railway parcel better from Gurgaon to Jaipur?
Road transport can collect from your Gurgaon address and deliver to your Jaipur address, with packing and handling arranged for you. Railway parcel or luggage booking is station to station, so you take the bike to the station, complete the booking and collect it in Jaipur. Parcel and accompanied luggage rules differ, and acceptance depends on the station, train and vehicle. Check current railway rules directly before choosing rail, especially for an EV.
Which documents are needed for bike transport?
Keep copies of the registration certificate, current insurance and the owner's ID ready, along with a PUC certificate where applicable. If someone else hands over or receives the bike, add a signed authorisation and that person's ID. Keep the originals with you, because you will need them when you ride in Jaipur. A company-owned bike also needs written permission from the company.
Do I need an NOC to use my Haryana-registered bike in Jaipur?
Transporting the bike and registering it in Rajasthan are separate matters. A transporter can move a bike with the right copies, but whether you later need re-registration, road tax payment, a no-objection certificate or a financier's NOC depends on how long you keep it in Rajasthan, the ownership and any loan. Check the current requirements with the Rajasthan transport department or your Haryana registering authority for your situation.
Can you deliver to Manipal University Jaipur or a college hostel?
Manipal University Jaipur is at Dehmi Kalan, off the Jaipur–Ajmer Expressway, which is well outside inner Jaipur, so the exact handover point affects the quote. Find out from your hostel where a personal two-wheeler can be received and parked, and make sure you or a named friend will be there at the agreed time. If you live in an off-campus PG, give that address and confirm the owner allows the bike. BikeShift Gurgaon has no affiliation with any university.
Can the bike be delivered inside Jaipur's walled city?
It depends on the exact lane and the time of day. Some old-city lanes and market streets are hard for a delivery vehicle to enter or stop in, and access arrangements can change. Share the full address and a nearby wider road where a vehicle can stop lawfully. We will check current access before confirming, and the plan may be a handover at that point, after which you ride or wheel the bike home.
What if nobody can receive the bike in Jaipur on the delivery day?
Agree a fallback before dispatch. The simplest is an alternate authorised person with a name, phone number, ID copy and your written authorisation. If nobody is available, ask in writing where the bike would be held, for how long, at what charge, whether cover continues while it is held and how redelivery will be arranged. A short route does not remove this problem, because both the dispatch and the delivery appointment need someone available.
Should I empty the petrol tank before handing over the bike?
Follow the instructions given for your booking. Railway guidance requires an empty tank for rail movement, while road carriers set their own requirement. Do not drain fuel yourself with improvised tools and do not pack fuel in bottles, cans or the storage box. If you are unsure, ask before the collection day so the bike is ready when the team arrives.
Can you move a non-running or accident-damaged bike?
Often, yes, but it needs an assessment first. Tell us whether the bike rolls freely, steers, brakes and has both tyres inflated, and whether any parts are loose or missing. A bike that cannot be wheeled may need extra people or equipment at both ends, which affects the quote and the appointment. Photos of the bike and of the parking spot help us give a realistic scope.
What should I do if I notice damage at delivery or later?
Inspect the bike before signing the delivery document, compare it with the condition record and photograph anything new. Write the issue on the delivery document and tell us the same day. If you find damage after unpacking, report it in writing as soon as possible with photos. Any claim depends on the cover actually issued, the stages it covers, the declared value and its exclusions, so read the cover document before dispatch.
